Marcus Vick Pro Future (1 Viewer)

TFN1995

I think he is a day one pick at least. Even a second round steal. There is such a need for qb's in the nfl. I think he could be good for dallas. He could learn from Drew and then succed him. WHat do you think?

If someone in Dallas drafted him, either he or Parcells would be dead by the end of the first practice session.

I'd draft a kicker before I drafted him. :boxing:

Someone will take a flier on him on day 2. No way he goes in the first 2 rounds - no team will want to make that much of an investment in him.

I doubt he's even the tenth best QB prospect this year. Second day seems right around his spot. Though, this being said, I wont be surprised if he lands in State College with JoePa- of course, after sitting out a season due to ineligibility. If theres one fit with an offense, it will be in Penn State.

Breaking out the ol' crystal ball...He's a big headache now. I would be absolutely SHOCKED if he went 1st round. I could POSSIBLY see him going 2nd round, but if not 3rd. SOMEONE will take the risk and go for him. I mean damn, Denver took a risk on Clarett in the 3rd this past season. Some team will pray his brother calms him down and veterans smack him around enough and in line...

Will the Falcons take him and make him a WR so Michal has someone to throw to ..LOLNo ####### way he lasts to the 2nd day...once he hits the NFL combine his stock will sky rocket... I dont agree with the whole combine stats over college performance but NFL scouts seem not to mind.

I'm a Tech fan and I think you're crazy. This kid would be a terrible NFL qb. He'll play wr and be a Dandle El type player. He was an excellent wr his Freshman year.

Late Day 2 if he stays at QB (which the odds of that happening and having an NFL career are about 2%)He could be a late Day 1 (but probable early Day 2 pick) as a WR. He'd be a project like Arnaz Battle, but some team will invest in him.

maybe a stupid question, is he eligible this year? he could be the 4th QB off the board.. :)
VA tech lists him as going into his Sr year, so he is eligible. Adding to that, a transfer will cause him to sit out a year. Most certainly will enter the draft, and on big brother's merit alone would probably have been a 2nd rounder, but with character issues and recent marijuana charges, will probably fall to the 5th/6th round. Antaaj Hawthorne projected as a 1st rounder last year before the combine where he failed the whiz quiz and dropped all the way to the 6th before the Raiders took a chance on him.

I think that's one of the funniest posts I've read in some time.I do hope DAL drafts him.

Undrafted, and I don't believe any shark on this board believes otherwise. Unless of course they are having a lot to drink tonight.Edited to say that I will kiss every cows butt in Texas if he is drafted.

Consensus views on Vick II is that he has a better arm than Michael. Michael has even said as much (I believe Michael was at a Thursday game on the sideline - maybe the Maryland game - and was asked where was Marcus compared to him at the same point in his career. He said Marcus is ahead). Now I am by no means saying that Marcus is a first rounder like his brother. I am saying that the raw talent may be comparable to better, at least according to those who rank / grade college players. Now, his head and his character. That is a different story altogether. He makes Ron Mexico look like a good guy....Marcus should be a 3rd round pick by someone willing to take a shot at him. Look for a strong coach and a veteran QB that is willing to put him under his wing (Denver??), OR an offbeat situation (Atlanta and/or Oakland).Pure speculation on the Denver vote. Just came to mind. He needs a LOT of handholding off the field.

If I were an NFL team, I wouldn't touch this guy with a ten-foot pole. He's blown how many chances now? Got a lot of growing up to do.

i say second day. He might have gone higher if McPherson would have worked out. I think this draft will have plenty of QBs, who need work, but are heavy in athletic ability.

Am I completely off base when my first thought was Marcus Vick is worth about the same as Adrian McPherson was?

I think the guy is a punk living off of his brothers name. Nothing more.YOUR A PUNK. and if your brother was worth 100 million dollers i would not mind living off his name.

be excellent to one another ... no urinating in the pool. I realize you are new, but most will find this unacceptable here. Welcome.

How would you live off of my brother? Learn to use the quote feature properly.

i think marcus vick is a pretty decent QB, but he has a crappy attitude, which would make him and parcells a crappy fit together. ultimately hell probly be picked higher than what he deserves, like mo clarret was, but i think he could make it in the NFL if he can pass more than his brother and make his runs big gains

Nono. Consensus views say that Michael has a better arm, better elusiveness, is faster, etc., but that Marcus puts better touch on the ball than Michael does. Marcus is not the athlete that his brother is. He is close, but Michael Vick is one of a kind. As for the head, Marcus is worse than Michael, and that's just not good. He'll be a second day pick.

Dudes, you are crazy to believe this guy is a first day pick. Yes Clarett was a problem child but he had one minor incident with the law. This guy makes Clarett look like a saint. Let's see here one year long suspension for alcohol (probably sex too) with minors of 14 and 15, marijuana possession and reckless driving, one of the cheapest plays I have ever seen in sports then saying thats football, then after all that with a suspension looming another arrest. Not to mention he can't read defenses, is a good not great runner and has nowhere near the arm of Michael.

:goodposting:
Bingo. EVERY draft pick with only 6 rounds has the potential to do something. Make the team for special teams, depth, something.Vick offers nothing. He cant be a QB, and he hasnt shown anything to say he can play another position - especially since he has no maturity, gets in trouble constantly, is not a good guy (the evidence for that laid out in the reasons for his getting kicked off the team), no respect for anyone, not much of a head on his shoulders.

Why would someone waste a cot at their training camp for this guy?

Its amazing to me how many people here overlook character for talent. Amazing isnt the word actually. Sickening is more like it. I wouldnt want Ma. Vick on any team I liked, even as a UDFA. If plying teenage girls(14, 15 yrs old) with alcohol and getting busted for drug possession isnt enough to dissuade you from wanting him, his malicious attempt to injure that Louisville player should be.

dies, he may not meet your standards, but the fact is that Marcus is crazy talented, and will undoubted get a shot in the league. Only question is which round.I'd guess 2nd round after his measurables at the combine blow people away. He's still a young kid, we all made stupid mistakes at that time.

Wait until you see who gets TO next.... wait for the cringe, wait for it.....

Some team who does not care about character will take a chance. Even though he is a knuckle head, he has tons of potential.I say 4-5th round.

While I don't disagree with your sentiments, it ignores the NFL coaches egos and how they feel they can turn a player into a star if they have enough raw talent. If he is anywhere even remotely near the talent his brother is, someone's ego will select him in the draft. Sometimes in the NFL this is a sad but true kinda thing. I don't know his history but according to some here, it seems this is gonna be one of those times.
