Margarita On The Rocks vs Crushed Ice (1 Viewer)

Settling in with wifey for a long night of Women's WC and NBA Finals watching.

On the rocks with silver tequila, fresh lime juice, and a little agave nectar is the answer, yes?

The answer is rocks either way but I'm assuming you mean frozen margarita when you say crushed ice (aka blended)?

slushy drinks are for 11am on the beach with a potentially fatal hangover ONLY

eta: slurpees obvious exception to rule

I actually prefer "rock"...one of those giant ice cubes which helps reduce the watering down effect.

Rocks with decent ingredients, blended with sub-par ingredients.

A good margarita machine can make blended without the need for blended ice. Those are much, much better than the standard blended.

This inspired me to have one or four tonight as well. I'll be using jalapeno tequila for a little kick.

Salt brings the drink to a whole new dimension. Non-salt peeps are mental.

Dinner was so amazing that wifey offered to hook me up with a blue dot even before the drinks started to flow.

Don't we call those machines blenders? And you just don't add ice?

I prefer Cointreau or Grand Marnier to agave nectar or simple syrup.
I do both Cointreau and a little agave nectar, silver tequila, fresh lime is key, on rocks and no salt for me.
A sprinkle of some nice Kosher Salt into the drink works for me. I love Grand Marnier by itself by hate it in a margarita.
