Maricopa County Recount: Nightmare or Farce? (1 Viewer)

This is all partisan hackery at its worst and no one will change opinions. Tales will be spun and everyone will work off of confirmation bias.  That’s the problem with a crap audit full of flaws, it has zero credibility. But if any one is being honest, that’s exactly what this audit was designed to do. Feed preconceived notions and further divide.  Nothing more
I wish all of life was a predictable as this audit and how things would go down.

Why are you asking those questions here when you could just read gatewaypundit for yourself? (That's a serious question.)
Because I really have no idea what alt-right sites KD is referring to when he says "I read more than the CNN faux notes".

And because I really don't want to go to those conspiracy sites and start getting far-right propaganda ads showing up on my social media.

Incognito mode isn't just for porn, you know. :)

In any case, I believe I can answer your questions: Yes, lots of fraud by Democrats was found. Votes were changed and ballots were laced with bamboo.

The conspiracy theorists are primarily relying on a chart of things the Cyber Ninjas found to be disturbing, mostly because they don't have a clue what they're talking about.   Their list of concerns has not really held up under any sort of scrutiny (surprise),

As an example, they were quite concerned that approximately 10,000 ballots were cast from an address other than the voter's current residence.    Students, military and people with vacation homes all vote from their primary residences as opposed to their current residence.   Cyber Ninjas either were not aware of that or are purposely being misleading with their "findings."   Does 10,000 sound about right for the number of students, military and snowbirds who voted from Arizona?  Of course it does.

But 10,000 votes is about the margin that Trump lost by, so people who don't care about facts see those numbers and have been encouraged to continue their claims of fraud, even in the face of a report that found no fraud.

I am seeing nothing anywhere saying there is fraud. Nothing but this audit was poorly run, the results show what we we already knew - Biden won AZ, and that this did nothing but damage voter trust.

Anyone, looking at you @knowledge dropper, have anything otherwise? Even that dumpster fire website Gateway Pundit has nothing although it's hard to find #### on there around all the ads.
I don't see either. @Maurile Tremblaysays it found fraud and fake ballots and changed votes. But I don't see it.

Maybe KD can post the relevant findings for us?

Here's a timeline of the presentation from a local news station, with tweets from Maricopa County election officials fact-checking and debunking each of their claims.    Lots of pop-ups on this page.

Examples include a single ballot which was not signed in the signature box, which was used to claim that Maricopa County officials did not verify signatures.   The ballot was signed in the line for a phone number.

Sounds low frankly. We're a huge transplant, multiple home area with 4 Div. 1 colleges. NAU alone probably has ~$10k Marcicopa County area residents of voting age that would want to vote by mail but keep their primary residence as their parents' or whatever.

Some of them may have voted from their current address.   It's optional.   Either way, Cyber Nincompoops weren't aware of it and the most gullible of the Trump loyalists are running with it as fraud.

Well, I’m not sure what else to call it? Leader is worshipped as infallible and his followers believe easily disprovable lies.  And are happily called into action in service of those lies.
Well, got a two day vacation for stating the obvious, which I explained in the post above.  The moderation on this board is baffling.

I suppose we have more a cult of personality in today's political climate.

Definition of cult of personality

: a situation in which a public figure (such as a political leader) is deliberately presented to the people of a country as a great person who should be admired and loved

New: Arizona Vote Review ‘Made Up the Numbers,’ Election Experts Say

An analysis found that a hand recount of votes by Republican investigators missed thousands of ballots, and possibly many more.

Curiouser and curiouser...

Cyber Ninjas CEO refuses to testify at congressional hearing on Arizona ‘audit’

WASHINGTON — When the U.S. House Oversight and Reform Committee holds a hearing Thursday to probe the so-called election “audit” in Arizona, the CEO of the company hired to conduct that controversial review will be absent.

Doug Logan, CEO of Cyber Ninjas, was asked to testify but told committee officials ahead of the hearing that he is refusing to participate, according to a press release from the panel Wednesday.

Logan’s unwillingness to testify comes after he and Cyber Ninjas repeatedly refused to produce documents sought by the Oversight Committee, which is controlled by the Democratic majority in the House, as part of its investigation into the Arizona election review. Logan is also refusing to surrender documents and communications that Arizona courts have ruled are public records.

A spokeswoman for the House Oversight panel declined to comment on whether the committee will subpoena Logan, a step that is within the committee’s authority.

The result of the months-long review of ballots in Maricopa County was the same as the official outcome: President Joe Biden defeated former President Donald Trump in the county and in Arizona.

But election experts across the country have expressed alarm that the ongoing unsubstantiated claims of voting impropriety have undermined confidence in elections across the country.

“Consistent with Congress’s constitutional authorities, the committee is investigating the extent to which your company’s actions have undermined the integrity of federal elections and interfered with Americans’ constitutional right to cast their ballot freely and to have their votes counted without partisan interference,” wrote Democratic Reps. Carolyn Maloney of New York and Jamie Raskin of Maryland in a letter last month directing Logan to appear before their panel.

Thursday’s hearing will include testimony from two Republicans on the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors who opposed the “audit,” Chairman Jack Sellers and Vice Chairman Bill Gates.

Other witnesses will include a pair of election experts: David Becker, founder and executive director of the Center for Election Innovation and Research, and Gowri Ramachandran, senior counsel at The Brennan Center for Justice at New York University Law School.

A final witness, invited by the panel’s Republican members, will be Ken Bennett, a former Arizona secretary of state who served as a liaison between the Arizona state Senate and the companies hired for the ballot review.

Bennett replaces an earlier invited GOP witness, Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai, an MIT-trained engineer and entrepreneur who has a history of promoting discredited and debunked conspiracy theories about the 2020 election, according to the Arizona Mirror.

"Wilenchik told a judge last month that Cyber Ninjas has no money and can't afford to pay for the review or redaction of records."

"Among them is a financial statement suggesting the ballot review cost nearly $9 million. Cyber Ninjas received $5.7 million from political groups led by Trump allies who have aggressively promoted the former president's false claims that the election was stolen from him, along with $1 million paid by donors directly to subcontractors. Altogether, Cyber Ninjas reported a net loss of more than $2 million from the audit."  😢

Gets weirder the more I read.

One of the masterminds behind the recount - Jovan Pulitzer (fantastic name) - the retired treasure hunter and guy who had the proprietary ballot analyzing tech is now live streaming crank calls: Link

Don't worry everyone, per Kelli Ward's facebook, everything is fine and the fraud will be shown.

-"I do not believe I’ve had a more important case in the 16 years I’ve been on the bench," -- Judge Hannah

-

Court hearing for Cyber Ninjas this morning and Doug Logan has two out of state lawyers repping him since his AZ lawyer (Wilenchik) wants off the case because he says he hasn't been paid.

The new out-of-state lawyers are not licensed in AZ, so this is off to rocky start. They can't talk during today's hearing.

Judge denied his (Wilenchik), request to withdraw, says Ninjas could just comply with the court and turn over the records and it wouldn't cost the lawyer or the company much at all.

-

Judge finds Ninjas in contempt.

Ninjas' lawyer asks, of what order?

"Mr. Wilenchik, you are trolling me, and it's getting really close to direct contempt." -- Judge, in response to that question.

Looks like some vindication.  If Maricopa is willing to ADMIT this, then this is just the tip of the iceberg

In other words...statistically insignificant.

The ninjas are shutting down...they found nothing of any significance.  Neither did any other audit.  A whole Pundit article with bold headlines (and seriously, is that the worst formatted website ever...just awful to try to read that with any continuity)....but all that for 37 instances where someone may have unlawfully voted?  How many are we up to in that Florida community?  is the Pundit reporting on it?
