Mark Ingram (1 Viewer)

The New Orleans offensive line hasn't been good, but it certainly hasn't been 3.4ypc bad. It's still quite a bit better than that absolutely, utterly horrendous line that Minnesota rolls out there every week and Adrian Peterson is still averaging a full yard per carry more. Yeah, it's tough being compared to a guy like Adrian Peterson but Ingram is supposed to be that kind of elite talent that can produce behind a bad line.

What will the excuse be for the bum next week?First it was that his YPC was bad because of short yardage carries, that myth was debunked. Now it's all because of Kruetz. What is next weeks excuse? Can't wait to hear it.
How was the myth debunked?
It's not that difficult, really. He simply took out all of Ingram's carries in short yardage situations and his ypc only improved by 0.1.
Every Saints RB has a poor YPC with the exception of Sproles, but Sproles carries are rarely typical run plays. Ingram's carries have all been obvious and vanilla running plays. Payton admitted it himself.
What would you define as a typical run play? Pretty sure Sproles is outperforming Ingram anyway you want to spin it.
No argument there. Sproles has been amazing. He's also trending down every week and Ingram is trending up. Plus Payton has said Ingram deserves more runs and more passes in the flat to throw off defenses tee'ing off on him.

I think everyone here had better pray Ingram beats up Indy and the Rams next week to salvage value. Pawn him off in redraft leagues because no matter what he does the next couple weeks his schedule egts difficult and the games will be tighter.

Pierre beasting

sproles looking good

ingram looking like the worst of a 3 headed monster

Trent had 2 tasty TDs last night.

3rd fiddle on the Saints and 2nd best on his own college team.....

BUM

I hope this blows up in my face and they start feeding him but I am going to try and move him. I don't care if he was ADP, he just is never going to be used at New Orleans how I think he needs to be used. The rotation works for New Orleans but not for my FF team. A guy like Sproles excels with limited touches and is the only guy worth having but only in ppr or RB 3 in non-ppr.

Why do you insist on bringing up Richardson? You've been very antagonistic in this thread and are purposely leading the conversation to get a rise out of people.

That's his MO. Easier to just put him on ignore

This charade with FB Collins inside the 5 is getting comical. He's got as many TDs as Ingram, now.

Of course, we're going to go through this all over again next week with "Ingram's sweet matchup against the Ram's billionth ranked rush defense that let fellow rookie Murray run for 250+"

Next week is the week, everyone!

You don't have to tell us. We are all feeling you! Our only hope is they have such a big lead they let Chase Daniels hand it off to Ingram the rest of the night.

Sorry, but Ingram is just absolutely useless. I'm not buying it any more. He's clearly not a big part of their offense. The Saints are up 21-0 and continue to throw the ball while Ingram gets what, 1 carry? Thomas gets a carry near the goal line then they bring Ingram in just to hand off to the FB yet again. Hoping he picks up enough points on what are basically scrap touches is a joke.

Sproles rarely gets a straight handoff. Most of his damage is being done on gadget plays and such. Comparing apples to apples, when Sproles does get a iso play or whatever he generally gets stuffed.

Thumbs up dude - Someone has to pay for the hype this guy received all off season. I look like an idiot to my league mates.

I still think he could be very successful in the right situation but I just don't want the headache anymore. The biggest problem is, you almost have to hole him because his value is so poor.

Charade? Collins has been converting them while Ingram has been very mediocre converting short yardage. That's not a charade, that's going with what actually works. If Ingram isn't getting those short goaline TDs, his value is about worthless in redraft leagues.

Without injury to Sproles and/or Thomas, Ingram shouldn't be in a starting lineup unless your RB corps is just that bad (which it probably is if you drafted Ingram). It's going to be the same BS next week vs the Rams, which should be an amazing matchup.

As a Dynasty owner I'm gonna hold. I had Turner when he backed up LT, Chester Taylor when he was a backup (sold him at the right time), Hightower and I sold him when the writing was on the wall. Ingram is a solid hold and wait.

Been saying this guy stinks bad. Don't sleep on T-Rich next year, he made Ingram look better than he really was. Why anyone has high hopes for a RB who was 2nd best on his college team is wack, but I guess Felix Jones is beasting with 250 today.

Ingram doesn't have the opportunity to do anything. The offense is too pass happy and Sproles/Thomas just kill his value. Don't know how you can say he's just a bad player.

:goodposting: He's part of the JuSt CuZ fanbase. Ignore him and move on. He's going to keep baiting folks into the Richardson talk. No need for that garbage. I still think Ingram is a bust.

Why are the Saints continuing to throw near the GL with a 28 point lead? Is there no mercy?

I'm playing against the Brees owner and he's got a slim lead on me and I have Ingram. By all that is fair, the Saints should put in Daniels and let Brees have a rest, and feed Ingram to kill the clock. :wall:

As long as the trolls you are referring to are those who keep mindlessly hyping Ingram for no reason, then I agree.

I've never put anyone on ignore and seem to be struggling on how to do it at the moment. :football:

he gets a carry then 10 min later he gets another carry....10 min later abother carry...and so it goesthey never even let him get into any kind of rhythm....And it didn't look like Collins was in...

Okay, this is the first I've seen NO this year and I have no idea why they drafted the kid based on what I've seen. He doesn't at all fit what they want to do. He's a good size RB that needs to pound it and get fed the football. NO has different personnel coming in for every play, including a different RB. I believe Ingram has plenty of talent, but it's being completely wasted on this team with Payton calling the shots.

I'll say this: it seems a bit odd that they would spend such a high pick on Ingram to shore up their goal-line and short yardage game if they have so much confidence in FB Collins to play that role.

Yup it is that bad - that's what happens when you waste a 4th rounder on a turd.

He needs to get 5 carries in a row to build some momentum. It's clear however that the Saints aren't going to do that.
Why does he need that to run the ball? I can't wait for the next excuse, excuse, excuse...
I'm not gonna blame an Ingram owner for holding on to any small glimmer of hope - sorry but I have to blame FBG here - they are the ones who crammed Ingram down our throats up until re-draft day.Never ever ever have I heard so much hype about a guy and his situation - huge let down.

Bloom still thinks that this is THE WEEK, lol.

No one is hyping Ingram so no.

Hopefully they give Ingram 10+ touches in the 2nd half since this game is already over. If they do that, he would probably have a decent game.

...I honestly dont even know why theyre keeping Sproles is the game. Why risk an injury to your biggest offensive weapon when you have a 27pt lead vs the Colts in the mid-3rd. Have the Colts even scored 27pts in a whole game this year?!

this guy looks like a top shelf RB when he has the ball. it almost looks like Payton is using him to keep his fantasy point total as low as possible. I know he is not but it is almost silly the lengths they go to to avoid giving Ingram chances to score TDs.

Terrible - I love Bloom but can't give him a pass on this one. Not only him the whole staff basically.Bloom still thinks that this is THE WEEK, lol.

I guess if anything, this game is the final illustration of his fantasy uselessness in redraft. I mean, you could not have a better game situation for a back to get a heap of garbage time touches and yards and yet it seems he's not going to get the opportunity. If it's not happening now, it's simply not going to.
