Mark Ingram (1 Viewer)

Any reports on what bone he broke? I had a displaced fracture of my ring finger a few years ago and was 100 percent cleared for all activities 3 and a half weeks post surgery.

Of course there's a huge difference between what I do and taking hits from NFL linebackers

Don't understand this. He was a top what 3 back the first two games. He's playing at a high level and may return soon according to their coach.
if robinson plays well in his abesence I dont see anyway ingram can be relied upon for anything more than a flex getting 10 carries a game...
I looked quick at my Yahoo ppr league and there Ingram is the #7 RB while averaging 12 carries and 2 catches per game...

It's going to take some seriously heroic performances from Robinson over the next three weeks to prevent Ingram from taking back the lead back spot in NO.

Ingram looked like Godzilla vs. Japan, that's gonna be tough to beat.

The only thing that is going to prevent Ingram from not only getting his place back and even greater involvement in their offense is injury and their coach. I think since his arrival in NO he has been under used and mismanaged. That being said based on his first two games I cannot believe the owners and fans would not demand a continued expanded roll in that offense.

team owners or fantasy owners?

Was cut in my PPR redraft... I immediately put in my claim off waivers and scooped him up.

He won't play this week, obviously... but I don't think week 5 is totally out of the question if he's truly week-to-week. Definitely back for week 7 though, at least that's what I expect.

He's not week to week. Original estimate was 4 to 6 weeks. He's still got a ways to go. I dropped him from a team I was stacked with rb with 2 weeks ago and don't regret it. He's still on the ww.

Last week Sean Payton described him as week to week....

Short bench in my 10 teamer. Ingram And Mathews on the wire. One or both of these guys will be a difference maker come playoff time. Going to act preemptively to get one.

Just picked him up yesterday. Stunned someone dropped him as he was one of the best backs through two weeks. Can never have enough RB depth. I dropped Terrance Williams for him.

What kind of league has both of those guys available? By short bench are we talking like 3 or 4 spots?

Get both man.

Rotoworld:

CBS' Jason La Canfora confirms Mark Ingram (hand) remains on pace to return following the Week 6 bye.

Ingram was running like one of the best backs in the league at the time of his injury. He'll immediately resume first-string power duties upon his return, sending Khiry Robinson into a bench role. Owners should be trying to stash Ingram if possible.

Minus Ingram, team struggled against Minn at home and got wiped by Dallas. Team is struggling and I think Ingram gives them best chance to move the ball consistently on the ground and open up the passing game.

Also like the fact that despite the 1-3 start for NO this division will be up for grabs all year long. Home vs Atl in Wk 16.

I'm bullish.

Boy do I need him back in my lineup. The vereen/khiry combination is currently making me vomit in my mouth just a little bit every Sunday.

Unfortunately, the Saints schedule after the bye is brutal against the run. Week 8 (vs GB) and 16 (vs ATL) are the only nice looking matchups on the schedule. And unless your league plays week 17, he'll miss out on both TB games (week 5 and week 17).

Rotoworld:

A league source tells ESPN the "thinking remains" that Mark Ingram (hand) will be ready to return following the Saints' Week 6 bye.

Week 7 has been Ingram's return target since he broke his hand in Week 2. It's time to scoop Ingram up if he's been dropped in your 10-12 team league. Although Khiry Robinson has run well in Ingram's absence, Ingram should be returning to the Saints' No. 1 early-down role.

Rotoworld:

Coach Sean Payton said "there's a chance" Mark Ingram (hand) plays Week 7 against the Lions.

The Saints are on their bye week. Ingram is still sporting a hard cast on his hand where he broke a bone at a point where the thumb and hand come together. Payton thinks Ingram can ditch the hard cast for a smaller, padded one by this time next week. It remains to be seen how carries will be split in the Saints' backfield after Khiry Robinson played well in Ingram's absence. But Ingram, himself, was running well before the injury. We'd expect Ingram to get the bulk of the early-down work at 12-15 carries per game with Robinson seeing 8-10.

Rotoworld:

ESPN Saints reporter Mike Triplett said Mark Ingram (hand) "could be eased back into action."

Triplett eventually expects Ingram to reclaim his role as the lead back in New Orleans, but believes the emergence of Khiry Robinson gives the Saints the option to take it slow with Ingram. There is also a concern about how big Ingram's workload will be once he returns to the lead role. Ingram out-touched Robinson 28-to-14 through the first two weeks of the season, but that gap is sure to shrink following three solid performances from Robinson in Ingram's absence. Ingram is expected back following the Saints' Week 6 bye, but will be a risky start against the Lions' stingy rush defense.

I could really use this guy right now. Wednesday will be big, hopefully we get word he's practicing.

Terrible matchup this week against the Lions. The game should tell us how Ingram/Robinson will be used going forward, which is important with the Packers swiss cheese run defense week 8.

Hoping they trust him and allow him to be the bruiser he is this week. Given injuries and such he may start for me no matter what this Sunday.
