100 times!!!F*** SEAN PAYTON AND BREES. HOW DO YOU LET A BELLCOW BACK EARN 110+ YARDS AND ROB HIM OF THREE f****** GOAL LINE TOUCHDOWNS!?!?!??!?!?!?
Pro tip: Sean Payton does not care about your fantasy team.F*** SEAN PAYTON AND BREES. HOW DO YOU LET A BELLCOW BACK EARN 110+ YARDS AND ROB HIM OF THREE f****** GOAL LINE TOUCHDOWNS!?!?!??!?!?!?
This is "what then Saints do"? So it shouldn't be too hard for you to find another game where their starting FB had 3 TDs.It's just what the Saints do. I'm not complaining about a guy that is right on track for low end RB1 status. He's at 12.2 standard ppg. He was at 12.6 and 12.5 last two years. He's performing exactly to reasonable expectations. If you aren't happy then you had unreasonable expectations. Ingram was never going to have the upside of a Rawls or DJ, but he also came without much risk.
Heath Evans, circa 2009 IIRC.This is "what then Saints do"? So it shouldn't be too hard for you to find another game where their starting FB had 3 TDs.
Nope. 8 career TDs for Heath, never more than 2 in a game.Heath Evans, circa 2009 IIRC.
Not the FB getting so many TDs but just using multiple backs. Lasko and Hightower got RZ carries as well. Last year it was Khiry Robinson stealing TDs. This year it's been Cadet and Kuhn. Ingram is on the same TD pace as last year which is 0.5 TDs per game. I own Ingram and wish he would have gotten 2 or 3 TDs today, but I also got him knowing how the Saints operate. This is "what then Saints do"? This was a huge shocker to me too (and I'm assuming almost every owner that has had him). I thought for sure he would at least test free agency a bit. He's always pissed like this. Can't understand how he resigned without even hitting FA.
He should be in his 2nd year in Dallas by now. This was a huge shocker to me too (and I'm assuming almost every owner that has had him). I thought for sure he would at least test free agency a bit.
I feel you - I'm an Ingram owner and bought with eyes wide open knowing Payton likes to spread the wealth. Not the FB getting so many TDs but just using multiple backs. Maybe I'm just less frustrated because I recently bought him cheap and am getting killed so badly today that Ingram scoring 1 or 5 TDs is irrelevant to me.I feel you - I'm an Ingram owner and bought with eyes wide open knowing Payton likes to spread the wealth.
But today was something we've never seen before. I think it's fair for Ingram owners to be frustrated.
Yup thats it. Cause that #### was cold man. Like peyton hates ingramMaybe I'm just less frustrated because I recently bought him cheap and am getting killed so badly today that Ingram scoring 1 or 5 TDs is irrelevant to me.
Wendell Brown-esque.Yup thats it. Cause that #### was cold man. Like peyton hates ingram
Getting vultured by Kuhn once is frustrating, but rational owners know it's going to happen a couple times a season, so you write it off.Maybe I'm just less frustrated because I recently bought him cheap and am getting killed so badly today that Ingram scoring 1 or 5 TDs is irrelevant to me.
Newsflash. .. they don't care about your fantasy team. Be glad Asiata isn't the FB for the saints or this could happen again.F*** SEAN PAYTON AND BREES. HOW DO YOU LET A BELLCOW BACK EARN 110+ YARDS AND ROB HIM OF THREE f****** GOAL LINE TOUCHDOWNS!?!?!??!?!?!?
What do you mean by overdrafted? He was being drafted as a RB1 in just about ever mock/real draft I saw. Yes, he's been solid, but I think people were looking for a bit more than RB2 numbers from him.Without trying to rub it in, are guys only mad because your teams are losing? I would love 4 TD days but Ingram is producing as a solid RB2. Unless you overdrafted him he's giving us about what was expected after a sluggish start.
So where would you have drafted him?I guess you're right, I checked several preseason rankings and he was usually around #8-#9. If I drafted him there I would be mad too, fair enough.
He was an RB1 for the better part of last season before he went down towards the end of the season. Believe he was a top 6 PPR back at the time he was injured.Long time Keeper league owner of Ingram. If you have him, just love the weekly consistency. He is a great flex play and solid RB2 most weeks. He just isn't going to give you RB1 numbers. It is who he is in this offense.
I play in a standard league so your mileage will vary. My point being is that his numbers are almost always the same. You will never see a 3 TD explosion or 100 yd game of any type from him. He will get your 60 rushing yards, 30 receiving yards and 0.5 TDs. The thing is that everyone sees the untapped potential that is there in this offense for him. He could be just a league winning monster if he got most of those split up touches. I wished he would have left when he was an UFA but he didn't.He was an RB1 for the better part of last season before he went down towards the end of the season. Well sure, not many RBs are going to go for 100 and 3 TDs very often. I'm not saying Ingram is an elite back, but I don't think it was wrong to classify him as an RB1 coming into the season. The last 2 weeks, he's actually been pretty good. The leagues I have him in, he's given me back-to-back 20 point efforts in PPR. Those are solid RB1 numbers. What makes him intriguing to me is that he's got a pretty high floor. His ceiling may not be up there with Bell, Elliott, Johnson, etc, but he's probably going to get close to 90yds from scrimmage like you said and has a chance for a TD most weeks. That's nice to have in your lineup every week.I play in a standard league so your mileage will vary. My point being is that his numbers are almost always the same. Yes, he's had games like this all over his career so we know he is capable, and that's the stats most of us are chasing with him year over year. I agree with both of your points, he has RB1 potential for a preseason ranking, but it seems Payton just won't let it happen. Not necessarily a bad thing, there have been talks of injury concerns with him, never having started a full season in his career so far. He was on the injury list every week I believe most of that run in the second half of last season as well IIRC. I'll take the consistency of an RB2 over a full season instead of a shortened season with a few good games of an RB1.He was an RB1 for the better part of last season before he went down towards the end of the season. Believe he was a top 6 PPR back at the time he was injured.
Don't think it's reason to avoid Ingram. He's got a limited ceiling but he's very relatiable and on pace for a low end RB1. At least there are GL carries to be had as opposed to Lamar Miller.Kuhn vultured a TD last week too.
I have been avoiding Saints RB for several years now.
He was the #4 overall RB (PPR) at the time of his injury last year. If that's not RB1 value, I don't know what is...Deaddawg said:Long time Keeper league owner of Ingram.
