Mark Ingram (5 Viewers)

McCaffrey and L Murray are my other 2
Interesting. I've got Barkley and Crowell, too.

This was before the dress rehearsal that we drafted, so that hadn't been sussed out yet. Then it never was. It's still a mess.

Hey, you guys are going to Atlanta up 2-0. Hear Kershaw looked utterly dominant last night

#RedSoxfanhere though I don't follow it anymore

Kershaw pitched well, no doubt. Ryu looked just as good in game 1.

Walker Beuhler going tomorrow.  ?

I'm a bit of a Redsox fan right now too I guess

I can’t wait to start him over Collins and Lewis.  Either one could out perform Ingram, but as other posters have noted, this is what we’ve been waiting for since draft day. Giddy up Saints!

Ted Ginn ruled out for Monday.  Considering Meredith and Smith have yet to show anything, there's no way Ingram doesn't get fed.  Karmara will get his as well in the passing game.   Would be surprised to see them on the field together a great deal.

Ingram to be eased back in per FootballGuys analysis / today's report? Ten touches? That would mean Flex at best. It would mean start so many others in front of Ingram. Someone said, hey, this is why we drafted him. Start him first game back. Wonder what the real Sharks are doing with Ingram this week? Personally, I own Ingram in all 3 of my leagues. One league he has to start missing Bell. The other two lots I have options like Hyde, Lynch, Yeldon (Fournette out), Brieda, Collins, and even Henry.

Sharks welcome to chime in on Ingram on MNF.

Starting him. Never even had a second thought about it... still don't.

I would consider Yeldon or Lynch ahead of Ingram but it’s close. You KNOW they are getting the full workload. And they have positive matchups - although Oakland could fall behind and abandon the run. Ingram? Unknown. He’s a ceiling play imo.

There was nothing from the team that indicated this. The FBG update said it was a guess/speculation. I believe the word “maybe” was used.

I’m starting Ingram. I don’t have options since it’s a BYE, but I like the chances of 12-16 touches.

From what his Coach has said, there won’t be restrictions & they’ll try to find “balance” on offense. That would seem to indicate a desire to run more and pass less.

why would they need to ease him in? he hasnt been injured. that's absurd
Dude went to the airport to meet the team at midnight.

That’s hunger.

Ingram is reportedly “angry” about the suspension - he was rumored to have been popped because of a cold medicine.

I like RBs who run angry. Angry usually means productive.

That's what I'm talking about! Put some hot sauce on it, guy!

FootballGuys whoever wrote the article what are you basing your analysis about easing Ingram back in and perhaps 10 touches???

I see everything to the contrary. He's in great shape and won't miss a beat. Goal line carries - yes!

Starting Ingram in all 3 leagues. Yep, pushing my chips all in.

Let’s not jinx it too much now, shall we? ;)

i have Ingram and Peterson. Need 6 points. Have been beating my head all day deciding which to start. Common sense both should get at least 6 points, but it is frightening thinking i may pick the wrong one

Tonight feels like it could be a season changer if you're relying on him as a hedge against injuries.  He's a monster when he's angry.

Running with Barkley and Mixon probably isn't going to get it done, but add a healthy Ingram to that sandwich...

Been waiting for Week 5 for weeks now with Ingram and Edelman. Let's see if I'm rewarded.

Older PED guys have been shown (I forget where) to have a drop-off in performance when they get back from suspension. Let's hope that:

  • He's effective
  • He doesn't get popped again for violating the league drug policy
All is good.

I don't understand why people were so surprised at last night's events.

In 2017 Ingram got roughly 70% of the carries.

Last night, if you take out Taysom Hill's carries, even though those were designed runs, Ingram got 72% of the carries between him and Kamara.

Excuse me if I'm not shocked at Kamara being used exactly how he was in 2017 when Ingram was healthy.

#Saints RB usage in Mark Ingram’s first game back:
Snaps - Ingram (56%), Kamara (45%)
Touches - Ingram (18), Kamara (9)
Routes run (#NextGenStats) - Kamara (16), Ingram (9)

People need to realize that Sean Payton and Saints value Kamara highly and do not want to overuse him, ensuring his explosiveness stay fresh throughout game (season).  Payton have repeatedly lauded Kamara's receiving and route-running abilities.   Here's the following quote from one of the scouts on Kamara, which made perfectly sense.  Ingram will be Payton's preferred inside-tackle runner and closer.  He knows his team defense needs stay fresh throughout season (and postseason).

Well, the Saints would really like to manage Kamara’s workload. One scout I talked to about it analogized it perfectly, saying the sophomore phenom is better utilized “as a sniper rifle than a machine gun.” Having a viable early-down option would help the coaches do that.

That certainly looked intentional.  Something like “we know brees will kill them, Ingram is ready to kill, and Kamara can have an easy night on a short week”

dropped ingram after week one   Played the kamara/Thomas team this week. Ff gods are real

Anyone move Ingram or getting offers since yesterday? Curios what his value is at.

I got Gronk offered to me. Would instant accept but am thin at RB.

As an Ingram owner, no way in hell do I expect this to continue. I am thankful Ingram played well in his first game back and he got the touches. But I fully expect 50/50ish or worse for Ingram going forward. Unless Payton is going to start conserving Kamara for the playoffs already.

Ingram looked really good last night.

Only concern is that he's STILL fumbling.  Glad he recovered it; Payton always punishes him for those types of transgressions.

But ROS points are not the only thing to take into consideration.  Positional value is probably more important.
For sure. Not to make it about my team but in this case Gronk also has carries pretty big risk injury risk.

Ingram's value is higher than I thought for sure.

The Saints timeshare is a unique one.  Kamara makes Ingram better.

Week 1-4 last year Ingram averaged 10.6 PPR points a week... after Kamara became a fixture in the backfield (weeks 6-16 (I never consider week 17 stats)), he averaged 21.1 PPR PPG.

So Happy to have him back!

With that usage in that offense, he’s a top 5-8 RB ROS.

i wouldn’t take less than a top 5-8 WR for him.

Unfortunately Peyton Barber is such a bust & R.Freeman is a RB2-3, because I would have loved to have dealt of those dudes for a Kelce or Ertz type.

As it is I’ll have to stick with Burton, because Gurley/Ingram is a deadly 1-2 punch at RB to go along with my THill/Evans/Thielen/Jeffery WR corps.

Point is, I wouldn’t be dealing Ingram anyway - I’d be looking to deal one of the other RBs behind him.

After this BYE he’ll be a fixture in my lkneup every week he’s healthy.
