Mark Reynolds vs. Chad Tracy (1 Viewer)

What happens in the long run here this year? Reynolds is off to a very nice start, but Tracy is due back and has to play doesn't he?

I think the Dbacks will find a way to keep Reynolds on the field, maybe not everyday but a lot. Tracy can play 1B so I would expect to see some daysoff for Jackson. Then there will probably be some kind of platoon at third with Reynolds and Tracy.

We will worry about it when the time comes. Lets just enjoy the here and now. Go Mark Reynolds.

i'm no insider, but i catch as many dbacks games as i can (partly b/c they have the best announcers in baseball).

it seems to me like chad tracy is heading toward a wonderful career as a utility infielder.

i know tracy took the job back last year, but this is getting ridiculous. unless the manager just hates watching balls fly towards the fatburger in left-center, tracy needs to become the next brandon inge.

i know reynolds strikes out alot, but isn't that true of pretty much everybody that hits alot of HRs?

CBY taking walks, byrnes getting hot, hudson and jackson getting on base, then reynolds smacking them in is looking like a nice formula for a team that got outscored last year.

Chad Tracy is entering the absolute prime of his career, and is a pretty damn solid player. It's a nice problem to have, and I have no clue how they will sort it out. We probably will not like the situation as fantasy players, in all likelyhood.

Reynolds is tearing the cover off the ball. Tracy can play utility man. I'd let him rest that knee....all year. You can't pull Reynolds unless he starts seriously slumping in the coming months.

I believe I read somewhere recently that Tracy's recovery is not going as well as planned, I don't think he's scheduled to return anytime soon, like mid-late May at the earliest. I could be wrong, this is based off memory, I don't have any DBack bats on any of my teams and haven't really followed the situation since late Spring Training when I was monitoring both Conor and Reynolds.

I know it's only been a week, but targetting Blalock and Kouz over Reynolds has not looked like the brightest move.
