Marlins 2008 thread (1 Viewer)

Seriously, this might be the only team without an official thread.

I have to say this has been the biggest surprise of the season to me (apologies to the A's). I expected Tampa to have a big improvement, I expected Seattle to suck, but I thought the Marlins would get steamrolled.

Just goes to show you that youth can overcome adversity pretty well. Plus Hanley certainly doesn't hurt

Still don't know how they're doing it with that pitching...but I guess they're pretty legit.

The only Marlin fan I know of on this board is Gatorman, and he only roots for them when they make the World Series.

I was at the Phillies game on Tuesday night. Solid 8K strong.

Their bats are ridiculous. We all know about Hanley. Uggla has what 17 HRs? Jacobs is a beast. Cantu and Hermida playing well.

I can't believe they'll hang around all year...like Cappy said their pitching is a mystery...but how many times have we said that in the last 10 years?

Great game so far tonight with Brandon Webb vs Andrew Miller.

Wait until you see the highlight tonight of Matt Treanor bare-handing a popped up a bunt and doubling off the runner on second.

Marlins are obviously devastated about missing out on Manny. They're up 7-0 in the second.

First start back for Annibal Sanchez also.

This game could potentially tell the tale of the 2nd half of the year for the Marlins. Annibal needs to step up in a big way and hold this rotation together over the next 2 months.

Marlins are reeling. Losing two consecutive 1-run games (both 9th inning and beyond)to the Giants is no way to stay in the NL East/wildcard race.

The stadium employees had a contest a few nights ago to see who got closest to the actual crowd number...I think the winner that night was 1100.
