Marshall (2nd) and Morrison (3rd) tendered (1 Viewer)

Per Adam Schefter:

Teams that need CB help take note: Panthers placed a 2nd-round tender on CB Richard Marshall.

Raiders put original round tender on LB Kirk Morrison. Raiders will have chance to match any offer sheet he signs - or get back 3rd rd pk.

Interesting that the Raiders tendered Kirk Morrison at the original, or third round, and tendered Ricky Brown with a second round pick.

Agreed. Thomas Howard got a second round tender, too.Stanford Routt, meanwhile, got a first and third round tender. :loco:

Other interesting tenders:

Stephen Tulloch got a first round tender from Tennessee. He's clearly a major part of their 2010 plans.

Rocky McIntosh got a second round tender from Washington. Could be taken as a sign that he's not highly valued, but it's highly unlikely anyone will come after McIntosh at that price. Reed Doughty also got a second round tender. Unlike McIntosh, I think that's probably a sign that Doughty goes into the offseason strongly ahead of Chris Horton for the starting SS job.

Panthers aren't messing around with Thomas Davis. He got a first and third tender.

So, any chance that Morrison is gone from Oak this offseason? Seems like he has been only marginally in their plans recently. I'm trying to decide whether to keep him or not. He's been a stud the last few years, but if he's going to be phased out of their plans, and not on a new team, keeping him would be a risk.

I will be shocked if Morrison stays with Oakland. It is pretty clear they don't want him since he got a 3rd round tender. I have to believe some team will give up a 3rd for him.
