Marshawn Lynch (1 Viewer)

I think Lynch will have a superb game this week vs a very weak Arizona run defense. Arizona ranks 29th in the NFL against the run, giving up an average of 140.8 yards per game, and has allowed an average of 22.40 Fantasy points to opposing running backs thus far. This game is in Seattle and Lynch will be featured, IMO.

He gets the start for me over MJD. You MJD owners can thank me after this week when he goes nuts vs the Chiefs....but I just can't see starting a guy in KC who has looked horrible and just lost his QB.

Lynch will be the sleeper start of the week this week...he's going for 110 total and 2 tds. Mark it down.

I'm trying to decide between him and Chris Ivory. I think. Heu're both going to have great games this week, but I don't know who's going to get the most carries between the two.

I actually own Lynch and Forsett in seperate leagues. I'm starting both, the prospect of a big rushing day for the team as a whole is too great to sit one or the other. I'm hoping for a Deangelo/JStew circa 2009 - type of game.

how is he a sleeper??
What difference does it make? He's saying Lynch should do well this week.. Either you agree or disagree with that and then offer insight... What does your post add to the thread? I'm really looking forward to watching this game if possible. I've been holding on to lynch for years in multiple leagues and this has the makings of payoff.... Maybe he can gain some momentum this week and start making me proud I held on so long..

lots of people think he's going to have a good week. the guy wants to make a prediction, call him a "sleeper", and get glory if lynch blows up this week.you think my post is worthless...can you imagine if every poster started a thread every week predicting that a player is going to have a great week? lynch isnt a sleeper, and he isnt under the radar.

He had a lot of carries last week - I also think he has a big game this week. Could be a nice RB down the stretch

Lynch hasn't had a great game in a long time, nothing wrong with someone alerting everyone of this weeks potential... stop being such a 'Debbie Downer'And I doubt he was trying to "get glory"...

I own Forsett for the past 4 weeks and I'm too slowly tryin' to decide what to do with him.

If I recall the timing, I had 12 hours between P. Thomas' injury and the Lynch trade where I picked up and then quickly dropped C. Ivory.

Next week I either package Forsett and M. Bush for a #2 WR (oh please GOD not a #3 WR) or I cut him.

I want to be a killer shark, but I suspect I am still a sand shark.

I agree that this isn't a sleeper at all. He's playing at home vs. a bad team that is terrible vs. the run. If he doesn't have a very good game, it would be a surprise. It's fine to say he's a good start this week, but to call him the "sleeper start of the week", with his matchup and with some good RBs on a bye, is a bit of a stretch.

Who cares what the OP called him... Lynch's potential this week is a good topic... When you see a big week coming for a player, you'll also see a thread in the SP ... This is typical pre-big game discussion..I already had Lynch in my lineups, but some FF-ers aren't as astute as others and might need a thread like this to remind them that Lynch is likely better then a back-up/bench player this week... It's not hard for me to imagine some people forgetting about Lynch based on his recent history...

His title was "sleeper start of the week". He may be a good start, but he isn't a sleeper to anyone who knows anything. No offense, but if anyone needed a "heads up" that this is a good match up for Lynch, or forgot about him altogether, they shouldn't be playing FF.I don't have a problem with the discussion at all, but coming on here Saturday evening proclaiming him to be the "sleeper of the week" is a lot different than just having a discussion.

I picked up Forsett at around 85th or so in my redraft. It took me 5 minutes after Lynch was traded to drop Forsett and move on. Even without Forsett there he was barely startable, I just don't see how he will do anything with Lynch there. Not only that, even if he does go off some week, I just don't see how you can trust him enough to start him and reep the rewards of him going off.

I can see both sides of the argument, but quite frankly who cares?! Now you guys are cluttering the board with non-relevant stuff. You can always PM each other to settle your dispute.

OK, now that you and this other cat have duly crucified the OP, can we get on with on topic discussion?

Start Ivory.:Tuna Move:

I think Forsett will prove to be the better RB over time - he is so much quicker and more elusive. But Lynch will even that out some with more goalline work. For now though, when Lynch is the shiny new toy, I think he'll get a lot of carries against a weak run D. What's not to like if you don't already own Gore and Bradshaw?

That is the denial I am tryin' to overcome.

I originally just titled this 'start of the week.' Perhaps I should have stayed with it. Not trying to draw attention to the title...just trying to generate some good talk about Lynch this week. Carry on

I've been debating all week on starting Lynch over Benson (vs. ATL)...Benson won't burn me on the bench, right??

The guy has played one game with his new team....he's not ranked in the top 15 on most sites this week. He may not be a 'sleeper', but he's certainly not a household name just yet. I simply think this is his coming out party. But, way to contribute something positive to the discussion.

Monsoon hitting Seattle today... 20+ MPH wind and lots of rain.

Wells and Lynch will probably get 25-30 carries each today.

All the makings of a 9-6 snoozer. :P

starting over turner
Dunno that I would make that play--and I'm starting him myself; I would think Turner is a really good play at home vs the Bengals.
I like them both this week but can't sit my other RBs.

starting him over Ivory.
Really? I think Ivory has a huge game today. Lynch is on by bench.
OK, you talked me into it. I'm starting both Lynch and Ivory. Sitting Torain vs Chicago. Week 7 bye issues got me down.
Do agree with this call--I've got all my Washington players on the bench this week at Chitown. Not an easy choice the way Torain's been playing.

I hope you're right... I didn't play him, but I'll trade him next week if he hits those numbers.
