Do yourself a favor and stop watching Iron Fist for a bit and watch Punisher 1 and 2. I enjoyed Jessica Jones season 1 and didn’t watch Daredevil although it sounds like I should, but both Punisher seasons were way better than Luke Cage, Iron Fist and JJ season 2+. I never finished any of those and I’ve rewatched both Punisher seasons.
I actually started with punisher.  It was first series I watched, before I realized there is a chronological order and several characters appear in multiple series (i.e. Claire, Karen, etc).   so, i have seen both of those already.

I was a bit disappointed that Punisher seemed to be more of a re-boot.  They did a punisher origin story in DD2, but completely re-did it in Punisher season 1.  I mean, the how and why his family gets killed is different.

I did like Luke Cage 1.  The feel of the show - aesthetic & music - were different than anything else and really cool.  Luke seemed to be overpowered vs the badguys and that kind of left me wanting more.  Jessica Jones felt like a sleazy 80's cop show (kinda reminded me of Silk Stalkings lol), but Kilgrave was an awesome villain.  I am most way thru Iron Fist right now, and it's basically a kung-fu show - I can see a lot of parallels between Iron Fist and Shang Chi - not sure if that's intentional or not.  Looking forward to the Defenders next.

I woudnt waste your time on any of the unboded except DD S3
I was originally going thru each, one title at a time.  When I started DD3, I was lost.  I made it about 1/2 way in to the first episode before I realized that it builds off of the Defenders.

Silk Stalkings, loved that show. Completely gone from my memory. I didn’t read the bolded part but I’d probably still rewatch those before trying to make it through the rest. I need to check out DD as it’s the only other one with fairly universal praise. It’ll be interesting about the Punisher in DD2.

DD2 was really good, IMO.  I enjoyed it a lot.  The plot gets a bit muddy with a lot of characters, multiple antagonists but Punisher and Kingpin were very well done.

i like wanda a lot so having her and benderdict cumberbund in one picture show is going to be amazing my hope is that since it is the multiverse and anything can happen that they will kill batman in the first four seconds because that is how long killing batnerd would take for a real pair of superheroes as an omage to how much a loser batnerd is before they get on the with the good stuff take that to the bank brohans

FYI: Netflix is dropping their Marvel titles effective March 1: Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Defenders, Punisher.  If you are currently watching these, better wrap it up.

in Chronological order (shows I have watched in bold).  So, basically I have 2 weeks to make it thru 6 seasons.

  1. Daredevil (Season 1)
  2. Jessica Jones (Season 1)
  3. Daredevil (Season 2)
  4. Luke Cage (Season 1)
  5. Iron Fist (Season 1) <-- this is where I am right now, plus Punisher
  6. The Defenders (Limited Series)
  7. The Punisher (Season 1)
  8. Jessica Jones (Season 2)
  9. Luke Cage (Season 2)
  10. Iron Fist (Season 2)
  11. Daredevil (Season 3)
  12. The Punisher (Season 2)
  13. Jessica Jones (Season 3)

Was thinking about starting up DD.  Might have to power through it over the next couple of weeks.

phew!

I made it thru Defenders, JJ2 and DD3.  I didn't care for JJ2 so much - I didn't care for the antagonist nearly as much as Kilgore.  And in DD3 - it wasn't clear who the antagonist was until 3 or 4 episodes in.  He was OK, and of course Kingpin is fantastic but DD3 wasn't nearly as good as the previous ones, IMO.

AFAIK, no word when these end up on Hulu or D+.

Moon Knight anyone?

I read an article about a week or so ago where they sent out more episodes than usual to the critics/reviewers, and essentially it came down to that the show may be a bit of a slow burn for the first 3 episodes, with the payoff starting around episode 4. I'm going to rewatch episode 1 as my viewing was interrupted a few times.

It was interesting.  Hopefully we get more information on Steven/Mark/Egyptian God stuff.

Good solid first episode.  I know nothing about the character but am a big Marvel and Oscar Issac fan.  First episode didn’t disappoint

I love how they drop you right in the DID issue. I thought it was excellent, can't wait till next week.

I really enjoyed it.  It didn't even feel like a Marvel show, just a good show overall.  I really liked how the did the blacking out mid fights.  And Oscar Issac was fantastic throughout. I really liked how the audience was kind of trying to figure out wtf was going on along with the Steven personality. Considering Marc was generally the primary "driver" personality, it's interesting to see where they take this.  Also, definitely noticed the Frenchie reference (Duchamp in the call logs), hope that's more than just an easter egg.  I also like that almost the entire trailers/teasers were from that first episode, so no clue where they're going with it moving forward.

Interesting that they chose to portray Steven in that manner, considering in the comics, Steven is his billionaire personality.  But considering how many people already refer to MoonKnight as "Marvel's Batman" I can understand why they went the route they did, to really just avoid that comparison.

Should be interesting to see where they go with it all, so far it's been great!

People refer to him as Marvel's Batman because in the earlier comics, the first two runs in the 80s and earlier 90s, none of the DID pieces were present. It was Marc and he was the billionaire with the nightime emergence of Moon Knight.

I thought it was a pretty good start.  I think Oscar Isaac is great in the role, and Ethan Hawke looked promising as well.  The first episode I thought was a little slow, so it wouldn't surprise me if the first few episodes lay the groundwork and then start picking up steam later.

Just bought tickets for MoM for my oldest and me.  the afternoon matinee on Saturday. We’re Cinemark members which covers the tickets, ordering now ensures we get the best seats.  Stop looking forward to this one. Even More so than NWH.

Really enjoyed the first episode of Moon Knight.

Me trying to explain what was going on mid-episode to my wife was :lmao:

I loved the first Dr Strange more than most and am really looking forward to this new one.  I will probably do a family night at the theater for this one.

Looking forward to this movie but the title sounds like a spoof from The Simpson's or something.  :)

Thanks for the heads up.  Some of the seats for MoM are already sold, but our usual spots are open.  Here's hoping for movie goodness.

After 2 episodes of Moon Knight, I am completely

Started to clear up a little near the end of the episode but still weird.

Mentioned it earlier in this thread, but an article I read a little while back essentially said that it's a bit of a slow burn, but the payoff starts ramping up around episode 4. Based on that, I'm giving the show a fairly long leash and assuming the payoff is there, I know I'll likely need to go back and rewatch the first few episodes a little closer with less distractions.

Aren't there only 6 episodes total?  That seems to be a real slow burn.

Heck I watched all of the Immortals, I think I can handle this
(Didn't make it through Runaways or Cloak & Dagger though)

Moon Knight is all but unbearable.  Dog poop.

And I have to watch how many more episodes?  Freaking kids... I was hoping they'd forget to ask me to watch this week.

disagree. It’s not at the level as the others but it’s been enjoyable. Probably my least favorite Marvel show, including iron fist. But it’s still decent and I expect it to get better.

Never watched C&D, runaways was not great.
