heresayTD mentioned he may not play. Wonder what their source is. KFFL is the last site to break anything anymore. I get day old "Breaking New" from them these days.

Losing Harrison for a game would be a loss, but he hasnt been a big factor so far this season. I think they can afford to let him heal up for a week or 2 and get healthy. Id be more concerned about Addai's shoulder. That's the key guy right now that the Colts can ill afford to lose.

Colts RB Addai, WR Harrison Could Be Out

Mike Chappell, Indianapolis Star - [Full Article]

According to HC Tony Dungy the Indianapolis Colts may be severely short-handed when they host Tampa Bay on Sunday. "All the guys that were hurt yesterday have a chance to be out," Dungy said this afternoon, "We'll plan for all of them to be out and see where we sit on Tuesday." The walking wounded after last weekend includes LB Rob Morris, (damaged tendon in left leg), WR Marvin Harrison (bruised left knee), S Bob Sanders (bruised ribs), RB Joseph Addai (shoulder) and TE Ben Utecht (concussion). The team won't know the extent of any of the injuries until a meeting with the medical staff this evening. At that time, results from MRI tests should be available.

Well that's good to hear. I have Marvin as my WR3 so I'm not too worried about him. I'm more concerned with Bob Sanders, I have him in my IDP, as well as how much he impacts the Colts D when he is out.

Was it Morehead who took his slot?
yeap... wonder if A Gonzo gets some work over ther as well.
gonzo didn't get much work last night, but with a week to gameplan, i say he starts opposite wayne next week. i also bet 88 doesn't play.
Is Gonzo that much better than Morehead?

keeper league, long story short made some good WW and trade moves to land Travis Henry and Marvin, and Gore. Made a trade that the main componets were Gore for Chad Johnson this off season, and Moss fell late in the draft to me. So my starting WRs are Johnson, Moss, with Harrison as my third.

No kidding... No one cares about your loaded team and/or guppy league in the Shark pool. Some of us have Marvin as our number 1 WR and would appreciate relevant info related to the extent of his injury.

HEY!!! That's great!Hope you enjoy it when the fantasy gods come out and wipe out your team for getting excitement out of a hurt player. :)
wishing injury to even more players because of the reveling of one fantasy owner is better? :)
??? Where did I say i was wishing? Just informing King of the Wolfies of the downfall of publicly getting excited about the injury to a player. Some of us spent a high pick on Harrison, and this guy is dancing around his grave.Lame post...

you are very touchy. It has also been already posted by the blogger that nothing will be made available until he has his MRI probably not until tomorrow, or late tonite.ETA: I don't care about your lack of talent in your league, and that Marvin is your WR1 in the Shark pool. Some of us would appreciate relevant info related to the extent of the injury.

the best update so far has been from Yahoo's Andy Behrens

Marvin Harrison, knee

This unspecified injury – it was called a "bruise" during the game, but that might just be a placeholder – occurred in the first half while Harrison was run-blocking. He caught only one pass for eight yards before his day ended. No one replaces Marvin Harrison, fantasy-wise, so this is one to fret over. The Colts offered no useful updates on Harrison immediately after the game. They've offered nothing too encouraging so far on Monday, either. Expect missed practices, rumors, and informed and/or baseless speculation ahead.

And at halftime, Harrison, who was injured late in the first quarter when Broncos linebacker D.J. Williams rolled up on his legs from behind, told Polian he could have returned.

Team doctors, though, insisted on holding Harrison out.

"I don't think it's a long-term thing. Marvin didn't think so," Polian said. "At halftime, it didn't seem to be that serious an issue."

I know the president of a team is not a doctor..but read this today.

Polian said Addai and Harrison could have returned to the game but the team erred on the side of caution.

Olandis Gary probably didn't think it seemed to be that serious when he played most of a MNF game on a torn ACL.I'm not sayin'...I'm just sayin'.

Hey, guess what? Here are two facts: 1) There are many injuries this year, and 2) This is a Marvin Harrison thread.

The venting thread is usually pinned at the top on the weekends, but someone could always start a whiny tool thread.

The attitude isn't great but still :goodposting:

Per Rotoworld:

Team president Bill Polian said Monday that he doesn't expect Marvin Harrison's knee injury to be "a long-term thing."

Polian said that Harrison informed him that he could have remained in Sunday's game, but the team medical staff chose to hold him out.

This thread is getting way too polluted with people pissing in the Shark Pool and their comments only redeeming value being that they bumped a good topic to the top or kept it on page one. However, the following rules of posting for the Shark Pool have been made quite clear and it apparently needs to be reposted in this thread so that everyone can remember why we're here so here is the cut and paste of what Joe had to say on the subject:

Bottom line -

1. Keep this focused on NFL News and Player Discussion and General Strategy topics.

2. Understand most people in the Shark Pool don't care about your team and keep the focus on stuff that is applicable to all.

3. Be Excellent to One Another.

Thanks. I'm sorry to sound harsh there. It sucks playing board cop. But I place an extremely high priority on keeping the Shark Pool a great forum and on topic. And sadly, that means I have to tell some folks things they don't want to hear sometimes.

You guys make this thing what it is. Thanks for that.

J
