Matchups to Love - Week 5 (1 Viewer)

QB

I love Brock Purdy at home vs the Arizona Cardinals. The Cards are soft against opposing Quarterbacks.
Purdy might not be a 25-30 pt per week type but if you platoon him with another and play match ups, this is one that looks pretty good

Justin Fields at home vs Dallas which has a hard time stopping the run, just pencil him in for 50/TD rushing right now and then maybe 150-175 thru the air? Maybe more
He has the potential for a Top 5-10 afternoon Sunday

Geno Smith is the King of empty calories but he has the Giants at home this week after the loss on the road against Detroit on SNF
Bounce back game for Seattle, should be an easy 2+TD night for Geno.

RB - You almost HAVE to play any RB you drafted in the first 6-8 rounds, not a lot of options but...

Trey Sermon - he was still available in several redraft leagues this morning. Taylor is OUT as some of you know and the rest are finding out, this ig going to be the guy that leads the Colts.
Jacksonville gives up a lot of points to opposing RBs, you would be advised to look hard here and see if this works with bye weeks issues and injuries mounting this week, Flex spot perhaps?
Most think ARich would be the better QB for him to have success with.

WR

Brian Thomas will face the Colts at home this weekend. While the Jags are struggling to find wins, Thomas seems to be getting better each and every week. One of these weeks he will have a breakout game and go over 100 yds receiving. Last week he got close with 5/86/TD, he's playing like a solid WR2 option right now, you likely took him as a WR3 and he has some WR1 upside right now. Hit the gas and keep him in your starting roster, potential Rookie of the Year nominee here.

Jets WRs - Garrett WIlson and Alan Lazzard each should do well in London this weekend vs the Vikings. Despite the 4-0 record, Vikes' Defense has been soft against opposing WRs.
Lazard is No 18th overall PPR and somehow is available on some waiver wires I've seen. I understand it's impossible to trust Lazard but this might be a week to roll the dice on him

TE

Tucker Kraft facing the LA Rams this weekend. The Rams are soft against opposing Tight Ends and Kraft has started to draw more targets including last week in Jordan Love's return.
Is 50/TD in the realm of possibilities for him vs the Rams? Solid TE1 option this weekend

WR

TuTu Atwell has logged 4/93 and 4/82, looks like Kupp is OUT Week 5 and he is likely to see more targets again this week vs Green Bay
The Packers' Pass Defense allowed a lot vs the Vikings last week, they aren't quite as good as maybe some folks think.

There are other Rams WRs you can take a peek at but Atwell has been consistent while Kupp and Nacua are OUT
High Floor and Low Ceiling is my take here

It's not only impossible to trust Lazard, but even more so with Garrett Wilson.

I'll add that I have been big on the Vikings and taking points most weeks. I'm not sure I like them as much as favorites this week and I could see the Jets circling the wagons as there was an outcry on New York Media this week, the seat has to be red hot right now for Saleh.

Jets likely to score 21/24-30 IMO and that means Rodgers is likely to have a couple TDs, like the upside especially on Bye weeks where some folks don't have as many choices. On paper you could do worse than this match up. Lazard is a Top 20 WR in PPR right now, hard to believe i know.

Seahawks- Been advised that teams the week after playing Detroit this year have not fared well.

Hit the gas and keep him in your starting roster, potential Rookie of the Year nominee here.

I roster him in dynasty and had to give up something quite significant to get him, but he's not even the second in WR voting for rookies. It's Nabers>>>>>>>Harrison>>Thomas

Then you've got the defensive side of the football and Jayden Daniels.

Just saw a clip of them discussing him for ORoY on that Matthew Berry show. Interesting.

Both Jets WRs Touchdowns
Thomas ends up 120/TD
Kraft 88/2 Touchdowns
Sermon 63 yds, 6 catches, TD

Purdy pretty meh IMHO
Geno ends up 284 pass, 72 rush, TD
Fields yet to come tonight, kinda betting against him now, more to follow in the game thread...maybe he still does well

Pretty good shooting this week
