Hey look we're all wrong about FF prediction at times, but this guy is ridiculous. Last week in his column he advised on DROPPING Matt Shaub. Look Schaub has not been producing like last year, but drop him??? C'mon thats some of the worst fantasy management advise I ever heard. This guy is a proffessional??? Ridiculous.

ETA: Schaub is currently ranked as QB #11 in my league.

Hmm...interesting, perhaps I should look for some ADVICE somewhere else then....

Hate to defend the guy, but to be fair he did qualify his suggestion:
Welcome to Dumpsville. Population: You.

As always, these are not guys I'm saying you should drop, and, as always, some of you will ignore that caveat. But if you need roster space to grab someone above, I have no issue with dropping these guys. Every team's needs are different, and these are good players who will have productive weeks but who I feel ultimately won't lead you to the promised land, based on schedules, this week's byes and who else is available in ESPN.com standard 10-team leagues.
In general, though, I would say he is not much of a prognosticator. I think he's just smooth enough to be a tv guy, and def fulfills the perception you have to have someone geeky in that role. He's a tool, but pretty harmless. What I mean is, its not like you or I or anyone decent at managing a FF roster is going to screw up their season by listening to him.

good post . . .

television "personality" does not equal television "expert"

Yeah. He is where he is because he does well on camera, not because his analysis is any good. If he's ever replaced, it will be for someone with the same qualities. That's just how it is.

I agree and don't hate the guy on a personal level. I'm just hoping people don't actually use this guy to make their weekly pickups/drops, lineup decisions.

You need to learn how to read. "You CAN drop if you need to" is different from "I think you should drop"

Most fantasy football "analysts" have no idea what they're talking about. This is why a subscription here is well worth it.

You can drop Schaub if you want to was HORRIBLE advice as well.....FF wise hes been real good for me the last few weeks...better than big ben

I find him fairly entertaining but his advice is incredibly bad. He seems pretty insecure though based on his twitter- he is constantly tweeting things like "thanks" in reply to people saying "good call on player x." If you look back though on his weekly love hate things he is laughably off, but always manages to remind everyone of the one guy he got right after going 1 for 20.
