This is off topic why the hell wouldn't they sub out Gaither right there?

To keep this on topic, Brown didn't look half bad sadly.

Im seeing Norv picking up a rb off waivers this week to add to the mix. Coincidence he has the second worst record in NFL history in close games...just sayin.

 
Would love to see the snap distribution for the Chargers RBs.

I'm not just a whining Mathews owner, well I am, but the point remains.

In a game that SD held the lead for the vast majority of the game against the worst run D in the league, the RB who is far and away the best on your team and is averaging over 6.5 ypc gets a total of 12 carries.

And the same RB who happened to lead the team in receptions tonight and was averaging 10 ypc gets pulled on almost every 3rd down and only gets two snaps on the last drive when you are desperately trying to drive down the field to tie the game.

Terrible coaching. SD did not give themselves the best chance to win tonight and they should really think about that moving forward.

well the battle thing has run its course and he is going back to my bench and will be the first cut when someone better is needed :banned:

 
The good thing for Mathews owners is Norv will get killed this week for the RB situation...was easily the most explosive player on the field -- when playing...

Difference is Reid is just too stubborn to run the ball. At least McCoy was on the field.Norv has ### clown Battle and Brown starting and getting snaps in game deciding situations instead of his best RB.
 
I wanted to throw my remote through the television when I saw Battle start the game. These ###clowns deserve to lose.

Actually the real deciding factor is where and how I sit on my couch. If I move to the recliner they win but when I go back to the couch they lose...dont tell me you havent thought the same. Players dont decide games, its where and how you sit on your furniture that matters.
 
Obviously the reason why Mathews wasn't used in the final drive(except for one play) was because the chargers didn't want to risk a fumble.

Also, they didn't want to risk WINNING THE GAME! :loco:

 
they could have avoided a loss by simply using their best player 20% more. as clear a case of mismanagement of personnel as you will see

 
This is only a good thing for RM... as both Norv and AJ look like tools and have no doubt signed their last meal ticket in the NFL this season.

 
Chargers are pretty clever. Absolutely ridiculous to not force feed the ball to Matthews. He was running great all game and easily the most explosive player in the lineup playing against the worst defense in the league....so what do you do? Give him 12 carries...well done.

I don't own any players on these teams.

I got what I needed from him in all my leagues so I wasn't freaking out, but I did find it bizarre that their most explosive/effective player all day was on the bench when they needed him most. I also found the play calling from 1st and goal/2nd and goal from the 2 yard line to be rather stupid. When Mathews is gashing New Orleans for 10 ypc on that drive, why not give him the ball from the 2 yard line at least once??
 
I wasnt able to watch last week charger game so l was not sure if the moron jackie battle pundits were onto something or not. Turns out not and they are morons or anglers. Look Norv knows he is on the hot seat and needs to be a playoff team. SD does not spend enough to think they are a SB fav. Norv knows Mathews is not in sharp game shape yet. Scary thought because guess what? He is getting those reps week to week with Rivers now. Mathews has a broken collarbone getting stronger week to week. If l had a talent like him and l was Norv do you think l would proclaim "we got this guy who is working into shape so we are going to let the other team know he will have to get into game shape for the following situations"? SD needs to beat the bad and avg teams and win at home. Mathews did not get the gl looks yesterday bcuz his collarbone needs time to fully heal. It makes more sense now that l saw him in action and my concerns are no longer b

 
The 2nd and goal from the 2 was the most obvious stupidity. This series made no sense either. Down 4 with eight minutes left in the 4th Qtr and they ran basically a 2-minute hurry up offense with zero runs. Granted Matthews got a few catches here but how you don't run the ball here is beyond me.
