I don't know jack about groin pulls and how long it takes one to recover from one. Even though he didn't catch a TD in the first 2 weeks he got plenty of looks and still contributed with yardage and receptions.

What's his value going forward in a PPR league? I still like the Jag's schedule....

intersting topic. I am very concerned about this injury and thinking of waiving jones for someone like berian, jennings, or lee

I would keep Jones over all of those options....and that includes all WR's named Lee.Seriously...I think he's going to get a good number of targets...he's a red zone weapon...an opportunistic defense that is going to give the Jags an extra possession or two every week...and a favorable schedule.I think he's a weak WR2....but is going to be a pretty good WR3 for most squads.

I like his schedule as well. I hear groin pulls can last all season? Is that true?

:excited: One poor game in which Jones was injured, much of the gane the Jags had no real NEED to pass, when they were pretty much Running the ball at will, and people are ready to cut him loose??Jennings, Maybe in a keeper.... but Lee?? Berrian?? Berrian will get his looks deep every game, but Moose is the #1 WR option. No way I am giving up on Matt Jones after one poor outing..

I would suppose that groin pulls come in various severity levels. It's something I'd keep an eye on, but not something I would assume at this stage is something that is going to significantly change his value.

sorry i meant lee evans who was waived last week

good advice though as i am fast to get pissed at players but i am concerned this injury will linger and was a bit frustrated by byron left and how he passed yday. I need to rethink this but the injury is the only issue for me, he was out most of the game. schedule for jacks in nice and his targets are great, i agree with that

Conflicting reports here. Some outlets say it's a groin and others say it's a calf injury.

rotoworld:

WR Matt Jones failed to record a catch in Week 3 against Indianapolis.

Jones was listed as a starter after being questionable to play because of a calf injury, but rarely saw the field and was a non-factor when he did.

In a keeper, Jones is worth a lot more than Jennings IMO. That might be closer if Green Bay had a young QB who has shown anything. Evans would be a close call either in keeper or redraft. Berrien, no. Jones will remain on my bench however, until he shows he's back to complete health.
