Matt Leinart Dynasty Question (1 Viewer)

Leinart should be recovered from his collarbone injury by Dec. 1st. Should get a full offseason of work in. Do you think he will be the starter week 1? Do you think his performance this season as a sophmore slump that he will break out of next season? Where do you expect him to finish next season? Top 10? top 15? Top 20? Top 30? What is his Dynasty Value?

I had high hopes for Leinart entering this season. But, he seemed to really struggle and did not look comfortable the couple times I saw him.

My guess is he'll be the starter next year. (Anyone know Warner's contract status?) At the very least, he'll be given every opportunity to win the job. I think next year, though, will be a make-or-break season for him.

Having said that, I'm a hopeful Leinart owner.

I was going to call him that. It just doesn't have the same ring to it as Hollywood Henderson did years ago.

How about Bright Lights Leinart?Anyway, I tend to give up on Dynasty QBs early. If they aren't showing me something by their second season, I'm unloading them. If I owned Leinart, I'd wait until he was recovered from his injury and had regained his starter role, and then I'd aggressively shop him around my league, moving him the second I got a solid offer.

The question is if the Cardinals believe in him. He was drafted by Green, and that does not mean this current coaching staff is sold on him.

As soon as he got hurt, I moved him in a trade to get Matt Schaub (he has been hurt, but I don't think he will be looking over his shoulder with regards to being a starter for the team).

With Warner there always looming to bail you out, it will be tough to have Leinart on your Fantasy squad.

I would keep him as I expect him to start and to improve, but I wouldn't want to count on him next year as my starter. I put him at around QB20-25 in dynasty and so his value would be about what a backup QB would be worth--maybe a player that would be taken in the 12th round of a new draft.

You have more faith in him than I. He looked totally lost before his injury and the team was at full strength. I've dropped him and I'm not looking back.

I dropped Matt two weeks ago and picked up Kolby.
You dropped Leinart in a dynasty league? How big are your rosters? Did you even TRY to get value in return before jettisoning him?Maybe it's just me, but it seems ridiculous to drop a former top-10 draft pick with just two years and 17 games under his belt.
