Eschewing the superlative, I'd say he played very, very well in his limited time on the field.

Matt should be happy that he went later in the draft. He got drafted to one of if not the best WR'ing core in the league. For the next few years he has one of the best blocking backs in the game on his side and will have a year to settle in and learn the system.
Warner will have a great year but like the situation with Kitna and Palmer in Cincy I feel Leinart is the man next year.
This guy is going to have a great career.

I drafted Leinart in Round 14 mainly to bust the guy's nuts that drafted Hurt Warner as his QB1.
Granted, I liked the Warner pick because any QB with those WRs (and EJ) can put up really nice numbers. I just don't know why the guy didn't back up Warner with Leinart, especially seeing how Leinart has played during the preseason.
Put me down for one that thought Leinart wouldn't amount to much in the NFL. If he keeps playing as well as he has, it looks like I'll eat my words.

I see Leinart may be in a similar situation as Ben Roethlisherger two years ago. If Warner goes down with an injury and Leinart comes in and plays well, he may never get the starting job back.

This happened to me (Warner owner) and I was pissed, except we only had a 14 round draft & the guy took Leinert in round 9 as his QB2. I tried to trade him Wali Lundy for Leinert and he sat on the offer until the news that Lundy was traded.Even more maddening is the fact that his QB1 has the same bye as Leinert. He has since picked up Rivers as a third QB, but he is the only guy in the league carrying 3 QB's. I'm hoping Warner doesn't miss a game all year (I know, unlikely) and this guy's team ends up at the bottom of the league. He hasn't even tried to offer me a trade with Leinert.
