Looks like dynasty leaguers have a new starting qb to play with. Not sure how relevant he'll be in most redrafts, but there's definitely a case to be made he should stay starting over Pryor.

I don't think I go that far yet. Being a PSU fans he had a great SR year but before that he was a turnover machine. He's started one pro game. I hope he succeeds but from a fantasy/dynasty stand point he's a big "wait and see" player.

He never had a good QB coach until his senior year.

I haven't checked their schedule... does Oakland play Houston every week going forward? If so, this should be a fun ride!
Houston was the No. 1 pass defense in the NFL prior to Week 11 - although that's based on passing yards allowed. They were a little worse than mid-pack in allowing TDs.

exactly...

was gonna post the same thing.. once he had a good coach he looked a hell of a lot better.

nothing against joe and jay but they werent exactly producing top qbs yearly...

hope it works out for mcGloin enjoyed watching him last year once he had a good coach

Was very impressed with his start. 3 TD's vs. the #1 pass D in the league is nothing to sneeze at in your 1st NFL start.

The guy was throwing some lasers out there. You got to give him another start (minimum) whether Pryor's healthy or not. Pryor has made strides, but McGloin showed more passing wise in 1 start than Pryor has with 3 years in the league.

:lmao: Stats lie. That secondary blows.

Sure stats lie, but in a pass happy league the team is only giving up 167 ypg through the air. That's some George Costanzaesque ability to lie there.

Word has it that the Raiders OL blows too, at least when Pryor was back there. Magically it protected the guy that was playing NFL QB instead of backyard football.

Yea, it's the same excuses the Raiders fans gave for McFadden. It's the offensive lines fault, scheme, and play calling, etc. Same excuses they used on McFadden they are now using on Pryor. Just sad.

They've given up 18 TDs to only 4 INTs. If I tell you your QB can have that today, unless his name is Manning, Brees, Stafford or Romo, you're pretty ####### happy right now.Sorry, but Houston is a bottom ten passing defense. At best.

Anyone taking a shot at McGloin with Foles and Wilson on byes?

Tenn has given up just 7 TDs passing all year, so bad matchup, ie no for me.

Interestingly, this is only the 2nd time a non-Texan QB has had most yards passing in a game. Was the 4th time a non-Texan was leading rusher in a game and 1st over 100 yds. And 3rd most points Hou has given up in a game. Just find it interesting Oak did this with backups and should have won NYG game if they convert at goalline.

Running ability is a great thing but I just don't see where you are going to phase out a pure passer. Now, I'm not putting McGloin there at all, but just give me someone who can reliably hit open throws like he did last week.

Coaches love this kid. He's a small guy and I feel like when ur small it's that much harder to become an NFL QB teams don't look at u kinda like Wilson and Bress they get overlook.

From the FBG daily email...

OAK - QB Terrelle Pryor out

Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Oakland Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor (knee) is out for Week 11. QB Matt McGloin will start in his place.

This means undrafted rookie Matt McGloin will get the start. Downgrade all weapons in the Raiders passing game.
Downgrade? I'm sorry, 3 passing TDs in his first start? I feel way better about McGloin tossing the rock if I own Moore, Streator etc.

That's from last week.

This is not the week to play McGloin. The Titan pass defense is good. Their run defense though sucks big time. The Raiders will be running all game with the pass just setting up the run. I see around 200 yds and maybe a TD. That would be almost better than Luck last week who had to run his TD in.

Weird. It was from this mornings email.

It will however be a great test for McGloin.

19/32. 260 yards. 1 touchdown and 1 interception. Pretty solid game especially after a rough start.
