Matt Ryan owners (1 Viewer)

For those of us that play in a 1 QB league, I think that Freeman's matchup looks pretty nice going against New Orleans in week 7.

Freeman is available on most waiver wires, but I scooped him up a week ahead to ensure I got him.

Ive been thinking about this as well and I think the two options are Freeman or Locker if he comes back next week vs BUF

I drafted Locker with the intention of using him in week 7, but I dumped him for Christian Ponder when the injury news happened. Ponder has a matchup against the Cardinals that looks much better now than it did a few weeks ago.

In my case, the best options on the wire were...

Ponder

Weeden

Kolb

Hasslebeck

Gabbert

Bradford

Sanchez

Cassell

That's it.

:goodposting: It is the option I decided to go with.. I had drafted Freeman as my backup but he has been disappointing( He is currently ranked #32 for QB in our league) so dropped him for Ponder a few weeks back.

I have Ryan in my main league and had drafted Alex Smith, without realizing just how tough Seattle were going to be. Considering other options now...Weeden @ Colts might be a decent option to consider?

I picked up Freeman just now and then I saw this. My choices were:

Weeden @ IND

Freeman @ NO (keep in mind, NO will be coming back from their BYE week)

Sanchez @ NE

Locker @ BUF (if he plays)

Freeman is the obvious choice provided you have the option.

Then again, he failed to perform in a similar dream matchup against the Redskins.

As a Ryan owner in a 16-team league, I originally drafted Russell Wilson but clearly had to part ways with him after his struggles and the fact that he's facing the 49ers in Week 7. Only good options on the waiver wire were Weeden (whom I grabbed) and Sanchez. I rolled the dice on Tebow last week in hopes he'd win the starting job but clearly that didn't happen.

If RG3 fails to recover, the designated backup (Cousins/Grossman) would draw a nice Week 7 matchup against the Giants. Just an FYI.

Fitzpatrick vs. TEN? He's still available in around 40-50% of Yahoo leagues. I own Ryan is 75% of my leagues, I'm not too excited about week 7.

What about Matt Schaub if he is available? - Haven't seen his name mentioned here.

Would he be ahead or behind Freeman/Locker?

I have Palmer on the bench (vs JAX week 7). Doubt he's on waivers in the majority of leagues, but maybe he fell there with the bye last week.

I'm hoping the Fitz owner drops him this week after last week's stinker so I can pick him up for that juicy matchup. Somebody in my league already cut bait with Cutler, so I'm thinking about him at home vs. Detroit as well.I'm glad someone mentioned Ponder. I had written him off without thinking since he's playing Zona, but they seem to be weak against the pass lately.

I picked up fitz early in the season for this one game. hopefully never have to start him again...TEN matchup looks like $$$.

I got rivers in one league and am planning on using cutler in week 7 vs. det. another good looking option

The Fitz owner in my shallow league did exactly that. I've got a claim in on both him and Dalton in hopes of starting either guy during Matty Ice's bye next week. Was originally going to roll the dice with Flacco but he's proven to be quite crappy in road games against tough defenses.

Thanks for the reminder guys. I just went and picked up Fitzpatrick in the leagues where I don't have a backup to Ryan.

Fitz vs Tennessee. What could possibly go wrong?

Crap - I was just offered Locker and Schaub in dyno (two different owners). Anyone thoughts on Locker in week 7?

Drafted Locker in the one redraft league in which I own Ryan, so with him getting banged up I'm angling to land either Hass or Fitzpatrick on waivers this week.

I have Ponder, but I'm thinking of switching him out for Weeden. Weeden has looked good lately, and I already own Percy Harvin and the Cardinals defense, so it seems like a lot to be investing in a Cardinals/Vikings game.

Man, I wish I had some of these options that you guys do. Hasslebeck, Freeman, Cutler, Fitzpatrick, Schaub, etc. are all owned in my league. I get to choose between...

Bradford vs. Packers

Ponder vs. Vikings

Weeden vs. Colts

Sanchez vs. Patriots

The Hasslebeck owner picked him up as a backup in case RGIII couldn't go last week. I'm hoping he may drop him.

I have both Ryan and Vick on bye this week. I see Freeman on the waiver wire, but I don't trust him. Knowing the mindset in Tampa, they still prefer to run the ball as a way of shortening the game against high power offenses. Against a weak opponent, I like Freeman's chances. But coach Schiano is going to want to keep the ball out of Brees hands any way possible. Freeman's a decent play if the waiver wire is picked over. But I like Weeden against Indy better. So much more upside there with Richardson coming off injury and that shaky Indy secondary. I have Carson Palmer going against Jacksonville and Matt Schaub in another, but I'm stongly considering Weeden for this week only.

Trying to decide between Cutler, Hass, and Freeman ( we have very short benches - hence all are available on the wire). I'm leaning Freeman - that game could be a shootout. I appreciate that Schiano likes to run the ball, but when you're behind by a couple of scores it doesn't matter what you like to do. NO is clicking on offense, they've had a bye to get healthy, their D is awful, sounds like a winna' to me.

This. I don't see TB being able to run much when Brees is walking up and down the field running up the score.Anyone with Ryan considering the chance that Atlanta has the division wrapped up early during the playoffs? If so, there's a chance Ryan gets rested early? I'm considering Freeman or Palmer for the bye week, and both have decent playoff matchups. Palmer has the Broncos, Chiefs and Panthers during the playoffs, and Freeman has the Eagles, Saints, and Rams.

For the crappy options that are out there we have some good matchups

For me

Hass vs Bills who are #1 in FF points given up to QB's

Sanchez vs Pats who are #2 in FF points given up to QB's

Weeden vs Colts who is #4 in FF points given up to QB's

I have Locker in both these league, but I think I may roll with Hass in one, and Weeden in the other to mix it up a bit. I dunno juist might have hard time playing Hass in two leagues this week

This has been a fear of mine for a while. At this rate, the Falcons are going to have the division wrapped up by week 10 or 11, and a good chance of locking up home field advantage around playoff time.

I will be starting Schaub. Although I think Ryan may get more points than Schuab even on his bye week. Best darn 5th round pick I've made in many years.

The Fitzpatrick owner in my league dropped him tonight, so I swapped out Christian Ponder for him.

The waiver wire in my league is really rough, so I hate dropping Ponder as my backup...but if Ryan goes down to an injury, I doubt I'd really count on Ponder to lead my team anyway. I'd probably trade off some depth to get a QB from another team.

I'm in a very tough spot since I don't have a backup QB rostered and have to drop either Bolden or Cobb for a backup QB.

I'd rank the possible WW options for this week like this:

Brandon Weeden

Carson Palmer(has a great schedule the rest of the way if you can hand onto him)

Josh Freeman

Christian Ponder

Russell Wilson

Going for pure matchup....freeman at home vs pathetic NO pass defense

My backup for Ryan is Peyton so this is a one week rental

Waivers cleared, I'll be trotting out Freeman/Palmer in a majority of my leagues (own Ryan in almost every league).

After looking at how Hass has performed, (12-14 points in a majority of my leagues over the past 3 weeks) I decided to stay far away. I don't trust him regardless of match up.
