Was just on the ticker during Sunday Countdown on ESPN. Looking for a link.Link?
It was just announced on CBS.The reason for the visit was undisclosed, but I think they said Schaub is available as a backup. Can someone confirm?Link?

Here's the text from that story.Binky The Doormat said:Did it say the "flu?" <making quote marks in the air>
The Texans will start quarterback Sage Rosenfels instead of Matt Schaub Sunday versus the Indianapolis Colts at Reliant Stadium.Schaub fell ill last night and is active for this afternoon's game. Tight end Owen Daniels is the Texans' emergency quarterback. In five starts with the Texans in 2007, Rosenfels was 4-1. He played in 10 total games and finished with a career-high 1,684 passing yards and 15 touchdowns.
Many believe Sage IS better than Schaub. I think this is a bump for all offensive players. You might see a QB controversy after this HOU WIN.Vitruvian Man said:What does this do for the prospects of the other Texans (Slaton, AJ, Walter, Daniels)?
Possible. But also if Sage doen't do it, its Schaub the rest of the way when healthy...saw this too. Wondering if Sage plays well if he keeps the job.
Matt played well last week. So i doubt it. If they beat the Colts it wont be because of Sage..... trust me.saw this too. Wondering if Sage plays well if he keeps the job.
See this thread for some info...bumped it as well:http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index...howtopic=369628IIRC, Owen Daniels wasn't as productive last year when Rosenfels played last year. Just a thought...

I highly doubt Kubiak replaces Rosenfels for ineffectiveness. If Rosenfels gets hurt, he may go to Schaub, but otherwise he'll ride it out with Sage no matter what. The thread title should be changed - Schaub is not OUT.Echoing someone earlier, I am a little concerned that they could plug in Schaub midgame if Rosenfels has any problems or if they just think for some reason Schaub might spark them if they need it.
Andre Johnson was out as wellNot discounting that Walter could do well today thoughI remember that Walters had some pretty big games with Sage.
ugh - that changes everything - maybe Schaub feels better at half time and comes in - yuck - off the Sage wagon and back to retreads! The thread title should be changed - Schaub is not OUT.Echoing someone earlier, I am a little concerned that they could plug in Schaub midgame if Rosenfels has any problems or if they just think for some reason Schaub might spark them if they need it.
This is what I think I remember as well but am not confident- can anyone confirm? TIAI remember that Walters had some pretty big games with Sage.
from that link:"Schaub fell ill with a virus Saturday night and was taken to a local hospital, but he is active as the Texans' second quarterback for today's game. Tight end Owen Daniels is the Texans' emergency quarterback."
Maybe Owen is really focusing on pass protection so this doesn't happen:IIRC, Owen Daniels wasn't as productive last year when Rosenfels played last year. Just a thought...
Texans | Daniels to act as emergency QB Week 5Sun, 5 Oct 2008 09:16:59 -0700HoustonTexans.com reports Houston Texans TE Owen Daniels will be the team's emergency quarterback Week 5
I think if either one is the QB for the entire game they are a great play - just concerned with Schaub active we may get some musical chairs....Honestly, if you were starting Schaub against Indy, you should feel just as confident taking a chance on Sage today. Neither one is a strong play against Indy, but it's not as if he's a rookie QB.

If Kubiak has determined that Schaub ain't right to start, then Kubiak shouldn't play him.I mean what, Kubiak thinks Schaub sitting for say the 1st half of the game is going to work some kind of miracle recovery & suddenly the QB who Kubiak feels is so sick he can't start the game, can all of a sudden come in for the 2nd half fully recovered & guns blazing.NFL network just reported that Rosenfels will get the start but Schaub will dress and might play.
