He's been named the starter for today and faces a New England Defense who just put one of their best players on the IR. Also playing at home and New England literally traveled across the country for this game. Not having Hasselbeck means they will rely heavily on the run.

He's getting the nod over Portis for me this week. A move that belongs in the ballsy, insane, genius thread.

According to Holmgren Morris will start and he will "sprinkle in" Jones and TJ Duckett. Morris has done pretty good when given the opportunity. My hope is that he gets off to a good start and Holmgren rides the hot hand

In a league where I'm behind the 8-ball a bit and wanting to take Portis out of my lineup due to the injuries and matchup, I've been strongly considering swinging for the fences and putting Morris in as my RB2. I currently have McClain in there and his chances of sharing carries is just as great as Morris', so I figure I may as well go with Morris vs. NE.

It's definitely a big gamble, but Morris could pay off for any teams bold enough to play him this week. He could also end my season. We'll see what happens.

Thank you. Because of this post I changed my mind and went with Portis. It may not be any better, but it can't be much worse than the 4 points Morris scored on my bench.
