McGahee big week? (1 Viewer)

I'm thinking McGahee is a good sleeper to play this week. Raven's D should shut the Bills down. That means a lot of second half running, and they aren't going to risk Rice if they're up big. Everywhere I look, there are low projections for McGahee. What am I missing?

I was thinking the same thing. Starting him as I have no one else due to byes, but I might have anyways given how out of hand this game should be in the second half.

I'm going up against him and sense a big day for him.

I think 70-80 total yards and 2 TDs is very doable for him this week.

He's my RB3 this week and I also think he has strong sleeper potential. The Bills' run defense is putrid and this shapes up to be a game the Ravens should control. If that's the case, we could see McGahee getting fourth-quarter work especially. I could see him getting double-digit carries with a strong chance to score.

I was thinking the same thing, but I'm having a hard time putting him into a flex spot over Vernon Davis, Terrell Owens, or Big Mike Williams. I hate the risk of a 9 carry for 30 yards performance.

This thread isn't making that decision any easier.

perhaps his lack of a single carry all game last week has the staff gun-shy about projecting a big game for him.

or maybe there's the fear that fightin' fitz and the gritty gutty bills will come out swinging after the bye and an extra week to prepare?

Was it possible that Baltimore didn't play him last week because it was just before the trade deadline (not wanting to risk an injury if any teams were interested in him)? If so, that might be another reason why his carries might increase.

Word around Baltimore is that they were trying to trade him but couldn't get "fair value". There are also rumors that he ticked off the Ravens coaching staff, but that could be a smoke screen. I expect him to play, and play a lot, if the game gets out of hand.
