Any insight on why he got no carries last week and McClain was getting the carries Rice wasn't? He isn't injured and Harbaugh has stated that the Ravens have no interest in trading him. Seems strange that they wouldn't play him vs. NE when he's looked pretty decent when carrying the ball this season.

I have McGahee as a handcuff to Rice and am trying to figure out whether he is even a viable handcuff anymore if McClain is now in the mix for touches. Thanks.

Playing his former team this week - a team which could lose by 3 TDs - is a perfect situation to plug him in at a flex. He is a great candidate for garbage-time production. But how can you start a guy who didn't get a single carry last week. Did they hold him out in case he was going to be traded? Is he in the doghouse?

No one has said but most felt it was in case of a trade. Time will tell but he is the backup.
