McMichael's best year was with Frerotte? (1 Viewer)

OK, it wasn't his BEST year, but it was dang close. He caught more TD's in 2005 with Frerotte at the helm in MIA than any other year (5). He also posted 582 yards despite 2005 being his worst year in average yards/catch and he touched the ball 60 times.

Frerotte starts this week in STL and might have chemistry with the TE. They play Arizona, who can bring pressure but is still kinda weak against the pass. STL is down a RB so they might work the short field more. STL gets an OLinemane back this week. It might not make much difference, but if it adds about a second of protection per down, that might be enough to draw a bead on Holt, then check down to a safety valve if he's getting mugged.

I'm not saying folks should run out and snag him, but I'm pretty curious what folks think of the fact that they have some history and might have some chemistry. Any Miami fans remember 2005?

With the TE injuries out there, I'm guessing more than a couple folks are shopping for a cheap plug.

Thoughts?

I must say, it's not a bad point. Especially with Bruce OUT for the game, could be a good spot start for anybody shaky at TE.

with how dazed and gunshy Bulger was in week four against the Cowboys, I expect Frerotte to surprise many this week. He is a savvy veteran.

Im trotting out good ole' Gus over Leinart. I figure Arizona will go up early and STL will have to pass to get back into the game. I expect decent #'s from Frerotte, plus a bump in McMichael's stats

I'm not certain AZ will go up early. I realize DAL is 'a second half' team this year, but STL didn't look bad against them in the first half. And AZ is not DAL. Boldin is hurt and if AZ gets up early, Warner doesn't hit the field...

Let's be conservative and say STL manages to get in the redzone twice Sunday. With Bruce out and Holt getting double teamed because if it, I'm guessing the 220+lb Leonard and McMichael would be main redzone weapons.

AZ has been stuffing the run this year against some solid rushing teams so I'm guessing they are not going to attempt to hammer it in too often.

With as little as two redzone trips, I'm predicting Randy is a solid play this week if AZ can contain Holt (Big 'if').
