McNabb's Value from here? (1 Viewer)

I know this is taboo to tralk about trading #1 this late in the season, but given his play against the Jags and Westy's health, and the fantasy playoff schedule do you leverage McNabb now? I know Dodd's going forward has him rated highly.

Week 16 @Cowboys

Week 15 @Giants

Week 14 @Redskins

That is not a pretty schedule for the playoffs. I often overthink things, but what are the great gurus thoughts on McNabb?

All 3 of those teams give up a whole lot of passing yards. Actually, i like my team playing in close games in the playoffs for FF....shootouts make for huge playoff #'s. and Championships!!!!!!!!!

Dude, this is a team that does not run the ball. Stallworth is being worked back into the lineup. I think he'll be fine. He will have a good week pt wise in Week 10; IMO

*Edit: I agree that those opponents in Week 14-16 don't look horrible. He'll be ok come playoff time; it's not like he has BAL-SD-CHI.

McNabb is a lock for 2 TDs in all 3 of those games. I say he gets 3 TDs in 2 of them.

Even if the weather is bad in Wash or NY, Philly doesn't run the run the ball. It will be all short passes & McNabb scrambles.

I love that schedule for the Eagles. All divisional games and all chances for a shootout. That's what you want in weeks 14,15 and 16. What you don't want are guys that have clinched a playoff spot with home field because they'll likely sit or won't play as hard. Go out and make trades for guys that will be gutting it out come FF playoff time.

Actually, I would be wary ...

Saying anyone including Peyton Manning is a lock for this and that is foolish to me. They have to play the game [just ask Chicago] and you are talking about away games within the division; meaning even more unpredictability. And all of this after games against Indy at home and Carolina ... To me that is 5 questionable games in a row.

Also, McNabb has a very high probability IMHO that he cannot sustain the present level of performance and statistics. This would give him the most product season of all time [above those of P. Manning and D. Culpepper of '04]. His effort in Week #08 is a clear reference for me that he and the Eagles will regress and come back down to earth.

The way everything is shaping up in the NFC East, those games are going to be very important. I look for McNabb to be coming into three huge games that are going to decide the winner of the NFC East. 3 huge games that I look McNabb to be pumped up for.

I was with you until you blew it with this statement....A lot of that had to do with the weather that day and the Jags DEF....Garrard's numbers and Eli (at home) were the suck as well. The winds were atrocious if I remember correctly.McNabb will be a stud going forward. He may or may not end up as number 1, but I would bet top 3 w/ Peyton and Bulger.

In thinking about it, there is no quarterback that I would trade straight up for McNabb.

PManning is the only one I would have considered but I think Indy could have their playoff slot wrapped up by week 16 and Manning won't play entire games like last year.

Another thought I had was that McNabb and Westbrook and Stallworth really needed the bye week. With the week off, McNabb could come back just like he started the season. I actually think that is very possible - and I wouldn't want to give that kind of player up. He is basically a player who can win weeks for you single handedly. Plus he is hungry for getting back in the playoffs.

Even if you weren't excited about his prospects in the fantasy playoffs, which QB would you think would be a lock to score more points over that time period?
