McNair looks done.. (1 Viewer)

As a KC guy, I feel like BAL is going thru what KC went through at this time a year ago...granted a groin injury is no a concussion, but the storylines are similar...

or am I reading too much into it?

Kevin,

That looks about right.

It's a sad day watching McNair look like this. The fella left it all on the field for his teams.

And will everyone please stop with the Leftwich is the savior talk. Leftwich is average at best. Boller is a much better option for the Ravens than s u p e r s l o w w i n d-u p Leftwich anyday!

Yep. It's been a pleasure watching this guy play for years. Thank you, Steve.

Steve Mcnair is so overrated...over his career he has averaged 13 TDs/9 Ints...take out his MVP year in Tennesse and it is even worse. Average quarterback at best in my opinion

Average in fantasy terms, but the guy has been a winner for a good part of his career.

Has there been any definative word if Boller will start or do I smell the cursed GTD brewing in the Raven kitchen??

Also a big fan of McNair's over the years. I'd say he's one of my all-time favorite players, and the Titans aren't even my favorite team. I grew up in the Nashville area and watched him most of his career. The guy is a warrior and one of the toughest guys to ever play the game. It's a shame how the Titans done him. Just embarrassing :)

And yes, he's done.
Hello?! What the heck are you talking about? McNair and his agent WILLINGLY negotiated and signed a contract with mucho bonus that included a large balloon type payment. Payment came due. Mac was done. What team in their right mind would pay him that money? No one...but Baltimore would still pay him much more than market value. So, in order to not lose value, the Titans wouldn't allow him to work out at their place so as to lessen the risk of injury that they'd have to pay the $ on before a trade was worked out. McNair and his agent were WELL AWARE OF THIS in advance but Mac chose to push the issue by trying to go work out. Mac made it an issue. And guess what? The Titans have been proven correct in this matter.
What the HECK are you talking about? Where exactly did I say the Titans should've kept him and paid him the money? You guys need to start reading closer instead of just jumping to any conclusion you can dream up, so you can start an argument to try and make yourself look informed. It's not working, and it's getting old real quick. As much as the NFL is a business, I still believe in something called loyalty. McNair was quite possibly the most important player to the franchise since it moved to Nashville. Telling a player of that stature he has to leave the premesis while attempting to workout is beyond insulting imo. So sue me.
Flapgreen, you are misinformed. That entire event was proven to have been orchestrated by Mac and his agent. The agent, Bus Cook, knew he wouldn't be allowed in to work out the day before.
