McNair rated high & Big Ben drops? (1 Viewer)

Am I missing something here? McNair has one good game and he is rated #4 this week? He faces an tlanta D missing a Def lineman and a safety.Eddie Hartwell at MLB is a very good player for Falcons.

But he stilll has a very weak running game to suppport him. Maybe FBG is looking for a high scoring shoot out?

Has he turned the corner that much since returning from injury? Last week he tore up a very bad tenn team. Being his old team has to provide some incentive there also.

Big Ben has improved every week. against good defensive teams. He has carried me the last 2 weeks with enough points to make up for the INT.s. Cleveland D is nothing and he has the run going well, Ward appears to be fully recovered. Why is Ben rated so low?

I've been wondering the same thing re: Roethlisberger. He's playing CLE, while Tony Romo is playing Indy, yet Romo is listed at 7 and BB at 20.

Can't figure it out

McNair is the #4 fantasy passer in my league for the last 3 weeks.

Atlanta has given up over 400 yards passing in 3 of the last 5 weeks.

Atlanta has the 30th ranked pass D.

Roth is playing Cleveland, and probably doesn't need to air it out to beat them, especially how FWP has been playing.

eta. i don't understand BB low ranking, just justifying Mcnair's high(er) ranking.

Atlanta hasn't been the same defence without Abraham, who is still out. Now with Kerney gone for the year and injuries at CB and S, this team is really hurting ... with Baltimore also dealing with some injuries on the D, expect it will be a high scoring game.

Cleveland's D has been pretty good against the pass, maybe because offences can run the ball against them. Ecpect FWP to have a good game but don't expect Big Ben will be asked to air it out much and won't need to.

FWP running it up on CLE is a good point, might keep BB to pedestrian numbers. Regarding my team, it's still risky to put Romo in there going up against #2 PD, but I'm going to go with FBG and keep my fingers crossed.

Good luck with the McNair vs. BB decision!

You mean the same Eddie Hartwell that isn't playing today??? :bye:

Do people honestly use these rankings?

The fun of FF is managing your team and playing your gut. I would never make a lineup change just because one guy is ranked 5 higher than other.

Perhaps not, but the rankings provide a great base for useful discussion.
