Mendenhall ill? (1 Viewer)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Steelers | Mendenhall expected to start, Parker to be worked in Fri Oct 16, 03:10 PM Pittsburgh Steelers RB Rashard Mendenhall (illness) is expected to start in Week 6, while RB Willie Parker (toe) will be worked in slowly during the game. RB Mewelde Moore will continue to be the third-down back.Mewelde Moore player pageWillie Parker player pageRashard Mendenhall player page
Looking more & more messy. Not sure I wanna start Mendy now hmm...
Despite the easy matchup vs the difficult one, I'm starting Ray Rice over Mendenhall.
good luck with that . . .

PPR I think Rice has more potential. .5 or non PPR I'd go with Mendy, but with Parker back, Moore as effective as he is and Mendy missing practice this week and likely still a little weak I'm thinking C.Davis is the goal line guy, Moore gets most 3rd downs and the rest is a 60/40 split with Parker. I could see Mendenhall ending up with <70 total yards and no TDs. In PPR, Rice could easily have less yards than M'hall, but should catch 4+ balls making a huge difference.Besides that, Pitt has made lesser teams look quite good so far this year and it's a division game which often break the rules. Cleveland may be a doormat, but I wouldn't be surprised to see this game stay competitive longer than it should.

why would C Davis get the GL nod over Mendenhall????That makes no sense to me . . .

He won't.Not the way Mendenhall has played in the red zone the last couple weeks.Unless Arians just gets way too smart, Davis shouldn't touch the ball in any type of pressure situation.

that's what I was thinking , but I was trying to yield to a Steelers homer . . .
I was thinking that if Mendy was feeling weak from fighting an illness all week, he may not be as strong in short-yardage situations. And BTW, the Ray Rice thing worked out great. Thanks.
