The grandaddy of them all in this department is Cam Newton.

Other than his low completion % there was plenty of reason to at least doubt skepticism if not harbor optimism for Newton this season, but more like he could produce like a middle of the pack QB, not a top five QB. I doubt even Cam saw this coming.

I would happily buy Kendricks now, that upside we saw in preseason is still there.- I think Daniel Thomas looked horrible in preseason and actually looks decent this weekend, which seems to be the exact opposite of what you observed.I agree with many other posters that there is useful information to be gleaned from the preseason, especially on emerging players. I think where you get in trouble is when youdisoubt veterans base on poor preseasons though. Also, anyone that is on the field a lot in the fourth preseason is probably someone you don't want on your roster on opening day.

I agree with many other posters that there is useful information to be gleaned from the preseason, especially on emerging players. I think where you get in trouble is when youdisoubt veterans base on poor preseasons though. Also, anyone that is on the field a lot in the fourth preseason is probably someone you don't want on your roster on opening day.
