-Gronkowski has barely been targeted, Hernandez is the TE to own in NE

-Lance Kendricks is a weapon that will be targeted often by Bradford who loves TEs

-Daniel Thomas sucks

The grandaddy of them all in this department is Cam Newton.

Confirmation Bias

Definition: Confirmation bias (also called confirmatory bias or myside bias) is a tendency for people to select favorable information that confirms their preconceptions or hypotheses regardless of whether the information is true.

Other than his low completion % there was plenty of reason to at least doubt skepticism if not harbor optimism for Newton this season, but more like he could produce like a middle of the pack QB, not a top five QB. I doubt even Cam saw this coming.

I won my league last year because I watched Arian Foster in the preseason after reading about him here. But like everything else it's a crapshoot; you win some and lose some.

- Gronkowski has gotten his in regular season, alongside Hernandez. And with Hernandez out for at least a game, I'd say Gronkowski is currently the NE TE to own.- Kendricks may still turn out fine, had a red zone target last night and a sick catch. I would happily buy Kendricks now, that upside we saw in preseason is still there.- I think Daniel Thomas looked horrible in preseason and actually looks decent this weekend, which seems to be the exact opposite of what you observed.I agree with many other posters that there is useful information to be gleaned from the preseason, especially on emerging players. I think where you get in trouble is when youdisoubt veterans base on poor preseasons though. Also, anyone that is on the field a lot in the fourth preseason is probably someone you don't want on your roster on opening day.

I didn't even see what you wrote, but odd tha you would pick these 3 this week, when all three guys had good-great games?

Oh. Yup, that those were incorrect assumptions based on preseason observations definitely went right over my head.Still disagree that Kendricks is a bust after two games though.

The problem with the FFA vs. the Shark Pool is they look the same. But they are really about as similar as Randy & Dennis Quaid.

People who drafted Arian Foster last year strongly disagree. It's not about ignoring the preseason.

It's about knowing what to look for and what to take with a grain of salt.

Yeah, but which Gronkowski? That's the real question.

People who know football, know what to look for out of players in the preseason.

People who don't start threads like this.
