I co-hosted the Fantasy Football hour on KNBR 680 with Larry Krueger. Now that Krueger GOT fired for comments about Phillipe Alou and the Giants' Caribbean players, the show doesn't exist. But we are talking about a new show on his new station, KHTK in Sacramento.

As I mentioned in my PM, I know Larry a little bit. Good guy. And IMO he was screwed unfairly by KNBR.

I am all for racial sensitivity, but most people in the world have said something they wish they could take back. The difference is that Krueger said it on air.

J Dog,Keep me updated on this. I live in Sacto and listen to KHTK 1140 5-6 hours everyday Mon-Fri. I'd love to hear the show and if you need any help or assistants I'd be interested with that also. I'd love to see an FF show on our local sports station here.

But with some changes.

Full information coming Monday/Tuesday:

1. The FBG staff (Dodds, Wood and Gray) is going to select the Message Board team. We think that makes the most sense going forward. Tick, by winning last year, gets an automatic bid onto the MB team.

2. Similar to how we did things the first year, we are going to create a special thread where everyone gets to state their case on why they should be selected. Everyone will have 500 words. They can link to past posts, etc. Only people posting in this specific thread will be considered. This post will debut Tuesday and run for a week.

3. Twelve message board spots (Tick has 1) are up for grabs here. Additionally two more message board posters will be selected as evaluators and grade the drafts. An alternate will also be selected in case someone can not draft at the selected time.

4. Because the website already has extensive player writeups, our goal this year is to really delve into strategy discussion. From a pre-draft plan, to execution, to changing gears, to maximizing value via handcuffs, to why you are high on a player or situation, bye-week management, etc. With so many experts all laying out their strategy, we hope to create a blue-print on how to win these survivor-style leagues.

5. The league will be PPR scoring. We are hopeful that by having it in this format, we can collectively get some good ADP info for WCOFF style drafts.

This just becomes an English paper exam IMO and some may not want to expose themselves if English wasn't their best class or a class at all in high school or college. It's trouble enough typing with one finger while looking at the keys. A few years ago i would not even have considered this while knowing I could draft well in it. I would hope you guys would consider a little more than how many words a poster can type correctly with the right grammar in place.

Here is why I think I should be considered. For the last twelve years of everyday checking into what's going on with the NFL and its players and coachs that could help make my FF drafts/teams better in order to win. I am not talking about minutes a day either its in the hours. I could also toss in the thousand or so SL's and mocks I participate in at Xpertsports.com and Antsports all year around. Or the 10k or more I spend every year on my leagues at these site and my home private leagues. The 3:30 am calls on Saturday and Sunday nights to my friend Bob Harris of the TFL Report and FootballDiehards (if Bob doesn't know it for sure, then nobody does) to find out if he has heard anything about such and such a player who is injured and questionable to play before I set my fifty or so line ups on Sunday. I could get into the profit i make usually or the work I put into a draft pick before I make it (chances are I know his freshman HS stats and if he had a hang nail that year before I make my pick) if i have the time. All the different strategies I have come to know and may use bits and pieces of them all sometimes. Or the excellent judge of talent I am and how what I see with my eyes when i watch football players play is so important to me. How I can use my background in coaching to sometimes help me in this hobby..Oh well that's my 150 or so words(English, grammar and typos excluded please..lol) I guess I will have to work on the other 350 words and how to link up past posts to have a chance at getting in this thing?..later
