Sure, he stunk up the joint his last outing but he was great against the Cards.

Any idea why he's not pitching Saturday?

I don't think he's being skipped.

Today (4/13) is the 1st time all year the Mets needed a 5th starter. Pelfrey was called up and will start tonight. Maybe that's why you think Maine was skipped?

I follow the Mets pretty closely and I haven't heard anything about him being skipped.

Heard nothing about him being skipped either. I know Pelfrey was slotted for his first start somewhere in this time vicinity. It certainly wouldnt have anything to do with performance and I havent heard about any injury here in NY

Sorry, bad choice of words. Instead of "skipped" I should have said "moved back a day or so." I'm not sure why the Mets wouldn't keep Duque and Maine on their normal rest and have Pelfrey pitch Sunday though...

Probably to keep Pelfrey on a regular schedule. I think he pitched 4 days ago.
