Bucs offered a sixth-rounder for him but it got shot down. If Mewelde goes, would it most likely be for depth? Would he see significant playing time, or maybe even a starting role?
I grabbed MM in a start up dynasty w/ the last pick for just this reason. Moore has PROVEN he's a NFL RB in his limited use @ MN - and he's a UFA (iirc) @ the end of the season, so they'd be stupid not to deal him for something vs. letting him walk.
IMO - after he figured out the offense somewhere like TB - where they're looking for RB help due to injury - he'll (worst case) get in the game as a part of a RBBC - and possibly more if he's used correctly and the O line is doing their part. His problem has never been producing, it's been over crowded backfields and MN's denial (prior to going w/ TH and AD) that he can be a starting NFL player - and possibly a NICE PPR rb.
This season - IF he does manage to get traded to a decent team - I don't see much more than a spot flex type of starter and that will take a few weeks to produce post trade. Though next year, you never know. Another example of a NFL 'journeyman' RB who changed teams and found himself in a great situation would be Sammy Morris. And I think something similar *could* happen, but a lot of things need to fall into place.
Deep rosters / big leagues = decent depth w/ upside. Even if he stays buried on MNs depth chart.
