MFL injury reports (1 Viewer)

I've never noticed this before in any of my MFL leagues but there are some puzzling entries on their injury report this week. Gore, Burress and Westbrook doubtful?Galloway questionable? In fact there are quite a few that don't tie in with what I've been reading. I have never really paid much attention to their injury reports before this week but some of these caught my eye, I doubt whether anyone on here would be swayed by reading them but thought it was worth pointing out anyway.

MFL's injury reports are usually pretty bad, for sure. They have Lamont Jordan as doubtful also among others. I do use them in the league I commish to determine IR status however so if someone is listed as (O) out I let them stay on team's IR lists. Other than that I really don't pay any attention to them.

As an aside I was in Guildford last year for the Air Show and had a good time at the local bars. There is a nightclub on the corner with red seats (don't remember the name but it had two floors) where a few of us got absolutely plastered chatting up all the English chicks that just came from the A-Ha concert. Good times. :blackdot:

I never had issues with MFL injury status, other than them taking a bit to actually mark people on IR and such, but they wait until it is official from the NFL.

This year the NFL changed their injury status reports. Every Wednesday each team posts how much players practiced. With MFL you can have them setup to record their practice time in the same format as Out/Doubtful/Questionable/Probable. The actual injury report statuses don't come out till Friday's from the NFL now. You can setup MFL to just use the Friday official reports and skip the mid week "practice" statuses.

As you may be aware, the NFL injury report has been changed for the 2007 season. In previous years the NFL has issued an official injury report on both Wednesday and Friday evenings with the familiar Out/Doubtful/Questionable/Probable categories. This year, the report that will be issued on Friday night will still use those same categories, but now, the Wednesday night report will instead have these categories:

* Out (Definitely will not play)

* Did not participate in practice

* Limited participation in practice

* Full participation in practice

Since this new system still has four "buckets" just like the old system, and we know many customers have come to rely on the Wednesday injury report for waiver and IR moves, we've decided to translate the above designations into the familiar Out/Doubtful/Probable/Questionable categories, like this:

* Out (Definitely will not play) = Out

* Did not participate in practice = Doubtful

* Limited participation in practice = Questionable

* Full participation in practice = Probable

However, if you do not want to use these designations for whatever reason, and only want to rely on the Friday injury report for IR moves, you can create a new "No Injured Reserve Moves Allowed" league calendar event that ends Friday night when the final official injury report will be updated for your league. For example, you could define the event to start on Tuesday, September 12th at 12am ET, end on Friday, September 14th at 8pm ET, and to repeat 16 times to prevent the early injury reports from being used as a basis for your league's IR moves.

Good info, thanks.

The way they do this is very misleading. They ought not to put out an injury status at all until the Friday report. This is strictly their status, not the team's or NFL's. Because of the way they do this, someone like Frank Gore, who missed practice because of his mother's funeral, is listed as doubtful with the big red D. Very misleading.
