Miami running situation (1 Viewer)

With Chatman banged up, and Ricky unreliable, why was Booker inactive tonight? Is he hurt or was he just another wasted Mia draft pick?

I don't trust that Miami has anyone who can actually evaluate talent given how Jason Allen has played now that he has been given a shot.

Given up trying to figure out what they're trying to do with him. Last I read they were looking at him as a slot WR. Probably not the best sign in the world that they don't know what position to play him at yet and Samkon Gado (waived now that Ricky's back) was picked up after Ronnie went down.

he's just not as good as Patrick Cobbs. Amazing cause there was a few people that sold me on him prior to the season. Should have known with his college production.

The worst thing is that he can't even contribute in the real game (which he might be able to do for half the teams in the league) because Miami drafted Ginn in the 1st round. Not sure what they were thinking following it up with Booker who's value would be there and as a change of pace guy...

I took him in the 1st round of a couple rookie drafts in RB heavy leagues. Talking about a waste....

Fortunately, many of the RBs taken after him haven't done squat either, but that probably has more to do with opportunity than talent.

There have been plenty of opportunities for Booker to see the field this year and yet he hasn't. I'm firing my scouting department and the Dolphins should do the same.

Taking Booker in the firts round of a rookie draft was a terrible decision , in our league ( Very competitive and going on for 15 years ) Booker got taken in the 4th round ( 12 teams )

I dont know why anyone would be asking about him ( Why he was nt activated , why is nt he playing ) the guy is nt a NFL RB that s it .

He will end up in the CFL in a few years .

I don't think Miami wants to waste an opportunity to redshirt him.

also, he must really suck....how are you worse than Patrick Cobbs?

He was the 7th RB taken in the NFL draft... And while I steered away from him, I couldn't list 36 rookies I'd have drafted before him. Maybe 12-15 but that's a stretch.FBG had him 7th in their dynasty rankings. Can you list the 36 + players taken ahead of him in your league?

How did Booker look today? Didn't get a chance to see the game but saw that he finally played.Did he look alright?
1 for 6yds running and 6 rec for over 60 yards IIRC ...Its the blocking keeping him off the field. I am holding to see if they can find a way in 2008 to keep him regularly involved ...

How does he look with the ball in his hands? Does he look fast? Tiny? Any signs of becoming a legit RB in the NFL someday?

I did not watch the whole game. Of what I saw, he looks as advertised. Good hands, good moves, not all that physical ... a third down back. I dunno if he can be more ...

I've been wrong my fair share of times, but I was a Booker skeptic all along. I saw him at his best in college (last season's bowl game) and still never really bought the idea of him becoming a featured back at the next level. IMO he doesn't have the lower body bulk to break tackles or push the pile and he's not exceptional enough to succeed in spite of that deficiency. He's basically Brian Calhoun or in other words, a very poor man's Reggie Bush.

That said, he's an interesting buy low candidate since his value can't drop much more than it already has and he's potentially talented enough to make some waves in the future.

At this point, I think his value is too low for most owners to look to sell him. I know that right now, I'd be unlikely to get more than a song for him, so I might as well just keep him and see what happens. I'm definitely glad that I didn't have to burn a first on him.
