Michael Bush's value post-bye? (1 Viewer)

lotta man-love for M Bush on this board.... but can we get some honest feedback going on his role moving forward? I got some good value for him the last two games at my flex but now I'm considering parting ways. Even if DMC is semi-injured and limited to 10 carries a game, that doesn't leave much use for Bush with a healthy Fargas.

Unless the Raiders go with a three-headed RBBC a la Denver (extremely unlikely given the comparative talents of the Raiders backs compared to the Young/Hall/Pittman mess).... is there any reason to keep this guy?

First off, I'm not sure Fargas is in fact 100%. He had the dreaded "groin" injury, and those tend to linger.

Secondly, I'm not sure about the status of McFadden's toe either. Obviously, the health of Fargas and Busy factor into your question.

But assuming Fargas does come back healthy, I believe he gets more carries than anyone else. Problem is, Oakland has a very good run blocking line and I think they are going to use all 3 backs to try and keep them all healthy. I think now that crazy Al has taken over, you will probably see a little more McFadden than before, and IMO, those carries are going to eat into Bush's numbers the most.

Fargas is a very tough back who runs hard. And toe injuries tend to stay with a player, just ask LT!! As a result, you may want to consider keeping Bush on the roster because he may very well be called upon again to carry the load.

I'd like to see Fargas on the field for 10-20 carries before making a decision. Likewise for DMC who has picked up some kind of malady in every game this season (plus the dreaded Turf Toe).

I'd like to know as well. Seems FBG are high on him as well (250 forward) and I can't really put my finger on it.

The only thing I can think of is:

- Fragas to be out longer than expected

- Rushing the ball 40 - 50 times a week (plenty to go around)

- Defense keeping games close and no need to air it out

- Taken over # 2 spot on the depth cart

- Maybe he's just a swell guy

I need to make a decision this week about Bush. I have Chris Johnson on bye and will be force to either start Chris Perry or Michael Bush... or cedric benson...

I would prefer if they decided to hold out Fargas for another week or so to get me past this BYE. I guess we will know this week if he practices full speed or not. Just have to be patient.

He is suppose to be back this week (per Karabell or one of those EPSN FFb guys) FWIW.
