Michael Turner (1 Viewer)

He is going too high in drafts, I will not see him, altho I would take him over RBush in a non-ppr league.
really? Brees head and shoulders over Ryan

Colston/Patten/Meacham head and shoulders over White/Jenkins/Robertson

Shockey head and shoulders over Hartsock or Milner

NOs D will keep their run game alive in games much more often and longer than ATLs D.
Yeah but Bush is still Bush. For a RB he is one heck of a WR. I would take Turner before Bush in non-PPR in a heartbeat.
wow, ok. what gives you the impression Turner is durable enough (at least more durable than Bush) to carry the ball as much as 240-260 times on a team with limited weapons, rookie QB, questionable D, avg-mediocre Oline. I like Turner, but not over Bush in non-PPR. Turner has only carried the ball 228 times in his career. What am I missing here?
Because he was injured?

No doubt

when a previous backup like the burner is thrust into a more prominent role, it can be helpful to think of comp players in making projections...

but its hard to think of one... sometimes lamont jordan is mentioned as a similar recent SITUATION, but turner is much faster, more explosive & appears to have more natural run skills...

not too many dudes with the size/strength/speed/quickness package the burner brings to the table... i could see him finishing between RB12-RB14 if he doesn't get hurt & ryan is competent (i expect him to be, unlike most rookie QBs)...

I've seen enough out of Turner in his San Diego days to know that he is very skilled and talented. Some guys make people miss/gain yards, and some don't, or worse yet cannot. All this guy needed was an opportunity.

If anyone discounts his TWO long runs last night because of his situation in Atlanta, they cannot recognize his talent. He will be fed the ball, and he will produce.
:goodposting: Turner makes holes and runs through, around , and past defenders. He always seems to make a lot of YAC.

He may not quite have the top gear, but he sure gets up to speed in a hurry.

Fantasy Index ran an article on this subject last season, about backup RB's changing addresses and doing well in other locations..Priest HolmesI know he's not a backup, but Jamal Lewis did pretty well in Cleveland.Ricky Williams succeeded ( to a limited extent) in Miami.Lamar SmithThomas Jones ( Az/Chi/NY)Ahman Green ( Seattle/GB)Ryan Grant ( NYG - GB)Lamont Jordanamong others..so there is evidence to support the notion that MT will have some quality starts in Atl and might pay handsome dividends for those who invest in him...for me, I'm somewhat bearish on the guy, being that he's playing for a team with a rookie starting QB who'll likely see 8 man-fronts and defenses hell-bent on stopping the run and forcing Ryan to throw..
