I also have ryan howard. These guys need to lose some weight and start hitting like they are supposed to.

Thank god I have ryan braun.

What are Miggy owners doing? I'm in a keeper league which makes things tough but I'm considering a straight up deal for Josh Hamilton at this point.

aS A 'tHE nATURAL' OWNER, i WOULD ASK YOU TO THROW IN SOMETHING EXTRA.

Josh Hamilton will continue to slay baseballs as long as he can keep his lips off the crack pipe. I actually traded Miggy and Verlander for Howard, Beckett and Weaver. That said, Miggy is a beast.

Selling Cabrera low, and buying Hamilton high doesn't seem like a good idea. While Miggy hasn't been dominant so far this season, you need to keep some things in perspective. He's with a new ballclub, in a new league and is learning a new position. Plus, the Tigers lineup hasn't provided great support around him.Despite this, he's still hitting .270 with 7 HR and 24 RBI...He hasn't even gotten hot yet and is still on pace for just under 30 HR and 100 RBI. (Keep in mind that one week ago, Ryan Braun, was hitting .275 with 5 HR.)In addition, he just turned 25 years old (he hasn't even reached his prime), and has a career batting average of .310 (.920 OPS) with 145 HR (he's hit 30 HR in three of the last four seasons). And despite all of this, you are considering abandoning him after 1 1/2 months of this season for Hamilton, whom is a very good hitter, but doesn't have the track record of Cabrera and missed a great deal of time in 2007 with injuries?I think you'd be making a terrible mistake if you deal Cabrera for Hamilton.

I'm trying to move him.

I have Howard and Braun so I should be fine on power.

I'm trying to move him for Brandon Phillips and Roy Halladay, or Aramis Ramirez and Scott Kazmir

we'll see what happens.

19 runs for the Tigers and he is 1 for 4? Awful

If I was the Miguel owner I would probably accept both of those deals.

How much more do they weigh now, as opposed to last year?

I dealt Miggy and Lilly for Brandon Phillips and Zambrano.

:headbang:

I still have Braun and Howard so I'll be ok (it's shtick DD, relax; albeit poor shtick)

He did have his worst year since 2004. That 352 OBP is pretty bad.
If you say so.
Are you arguing otherwise? He had a good year. However, it was his worst since 04. And that OBP is nowhere near what y'all were expecting
S-T-F-UHe had career highs in Homers and RBIs and won the HR title in his first year in the AL. His OBP was down, so what? He still had a great year and the initial point of the thread was that he sucks and is fat. Use your head for once.

Finishing with a worse record than Kansas City sucks, doesn't it.

Next time you want to argue:1. get your facts straight on your attempted "burns"2. Don't argue when you don't know what you're talking about. 3. Don't argue with people that know more than you4. Don't be such a arrogant Red Sux assknob like a lot of the others at this site5. Enjoy the rest of the season jack off

Moops is easily the worst poster on this site now, and I've been to the shark pool. Don't know why you would argue with him.

 Miguel Cabrera had a very good year. Never said otherwise.Man, you people sure are grumpy.

I have 19 favorite teams, too.
:shrug:Red Sox >>>>>>>>>> Yankees>Twins. The Sox will always be my favorite. But, I came to respect and like the Yankees when they were kicking the Sox ### in the late 90's, early 00's. Mariano Rivera may be my favorite pitcher ever. I like watching good baseball. More often than not, the Yanks offer that.Moving to Minneapolis, I have no choice. Plus, the Twins are a great story this year.Sorry that I don't just blindly follow one team.

How can you seriously be a Red Sox fan who likes the Yankees? That is ####### absurd.

Because he's not really a Red Sox fan. He just watches now because the team is good. He has no bond, or attachment, or whatever you want to call it, to the team.
