Mike Alstott, RB TB

News: WDAE-AM in Tampa reports that Buccaneers RB Mike Alstott will announce his retirement Thursday. The station reports that Alstott doesn't necessarily want to retire but sees that he won't be used much with the Buccaneers this season. Alstott was ruled out of the club's first preseason game vs. New England on Wednesday.

Analysis: Monitor this news if you use fullbacks in your league or if your league goes deep at the running back position. Alstott isn't a big yardage producer but always seemed good for a few touchdowns here and there. If he does retire, the Bucs would have a huge hole to fill for short yardage and goal-line situations.

From CBS' website

What's this mean a larger role for Pittman?

Are they happy with Darby

Maybe even Carnell is having a good camp?

He's old and has some pretty bad nagging injuries. Simple as that.
