Mike and the Mad Dog show (Not Done!) (1 Viewer)

Anybody else catch Mike noting that the NFL "let's the Pats get away with murder" - he said it a couple of times before saying that in light of circumstances that's not really the best phrase.

Mike loves to point out how much the players hate Goodell, and for good reason. And just today he said SB week has gotten so tedious that he doesn't want to go anymore. Then he kills Marshawn for not talking to the media? All this hoopla, this corporate strokefest, it's Goodell's freaking prom night. Lynch is saying screw him and the whole spectacle, and it's brilliant IMO. I've loved every second of it.

Who are the fans that really care about this stuff? If I'm a Seahawks fan, Lynch can scream obscenities at the media all day, I only care what he does on Sunday night. These media people act like it's high treason not to answer their inane questions. How many times can you hear "Gee, they're a really tough opponent, we really gotta be on our toes, it's such a blessing to make it this far" etc. etc. etc.

Just play the damn game. I hate the extra week too, always have.

This one was too easy.

1:08: "...you're playing with a bunch of uh, you know, guys on 10-day contracts, who, one now has been elevated already but, you know those guys, right now they're keepers for the Knicks..."

4:57: Mike from Montclair mentions Fatty referred to those 10-day guys as "keepers", Fatty explodes, says he'd bet any amount of money he didn't say it, swears he never even uses that word... :lmao:

RN, you've got a mission buddy. This needs to go up on the youtubes stat.

Yeah that was a layup :lmao:

I wonder if some lackey at the station has to inform Mike that he did say it. I'd pay to see that conversation.

"I've been around this game a long time..."

Other than sniffing Parcells' jock for several years, did I miss Mike's stint in an NFL front office?

"I kept telling you guys awl week that New England's inside receivers would kill da Seahawks!!!"

No reminders thus far that he picked Seattle.

I have just learned that YouTube disables subtitles/annotations on mobile devices. The genius of this video is the #### I write to go with it! This must be viewed on a PC for the full effect. You'll still get the gist of it on mobile, but it won't be the same.

Mike turned down a job with an NFL team: http://nypost.com/?post_type=article&p=9273196

Imagine if Mike Francesa had traded in his headset for, well, a different headset.

The WFAN afternoon host mentioned on his show Wednesday afternoon he once was offered a job by an NFL team, but opted not to take it.

I would have had to take a pay cut to take the job I was offered, Francesa said. If I had done it, I think I would have done well in the NFL, but at the time I decided to stay here.

Francesa did not specify beyond the quick mention what team made the offer or for what role, but until recently he did have a close relationship with former Giants and Jets coach Bill Parcells.

Listening to this ####### talk about Tiger Woods and steroids is very similar to how he defended Arod with steroids. He talks as if it is all certainty.

"The tawk in his knee!!"

How about yesterday when he authoritatively stated that "nobody cycles testosterone!"

Imagine my surprise.

Also, did you guys know that he walks side-by-side on the course with Freddie Couples at every tournament?

The caller clearly explained to him the meaning of the "Jets/Buffalo trade" phone call and he didn't want to acknowledge that he has no clue about what happens in the NHL.

Fay Vincent

"The only guy who ever believed him was Mike Francesa on The FAN in New York, who made a fool of himself, believing A-Rod and slamming Selig, when it turned out all along that baseball was 100% correct."
