Francesa just came to the conclusion that the best way for the Yanks to get to Yu Darvish tonight is to make him work.

Because it will be a warm night in the Bronx. :mellow:

Who wants to tell him that Darvish pitches in Arlington, Texas where the average temperature in the summer is roughly 130°.

This Craig Carton is apparently a different one that plied his trade as a "Jersey Guy" (who lived in Pennsylvania at the time) on 101.5 and who routinely did the shock jock offend everybody cheap humor I guess. I've never listened to Boomer and Carton for pretty much that reason.

This Craig Carton is apparently a different one that plied his trade as a "Jersey Guy" (who lived in Pennsylvania at the time) on 101.5 and who routinely did the shock jock offend everybody cheap humor I guess. I've never listened to Boomer and Carton for pretty much that reason.-QG

I listen to news at this point. Or the NFL channel. That said, I'll happily take MnM over BnC. That's how much I cant stand Carton, in particular. But Boomer's become pretty terrible in his own right.

anyone else tired of Raider nation crying about Mike on here 24 7 ? Dude, if you hate the guy so much stop giving him ratings its that simple

 
I stopped listening 5 years ago and have not looked back...

He is the worst.

Im not a fan of Michael Kay, but I'd rather listen to his show if I need a quick fix, or Joe Beningo and suffer through Evan at lunch if I need more sports talk.

Hopefully he will retire soon.

 
It's no secret why he kills the ratings. If you love him, you're gonna listen. If you hate him, you're gonna listen because you can't wait until he says something unbelievably stupid. (HINT: it won't be a long wait).

. With Dog I sit both camps depending on my day and mood and the topics of the show. Then in early just Mike I was in the latter camp.

Now, I want nothing to do with helping this guys inflated ego, career or economic standing.

 
I am no francesa Pom Pom waver, but for me, he is a great listen. it's easy to rip a guy with a huge ego, who comes off as pompous and all knowing; however, after doing this for 25 years at the same spot, something is working. has he lost his fastball, somewhat, but I think this is becoming the gap in his age between all the new technology.....as any old crony would have ( see rant, twitter). the show may be something that is underwhelming to non NYers. I am a former NYer and his take on NY sports is always entertaining. the show has some great interviews and francesa is highly knowledgable, especially when it comes to Yankee history. I also think the family and his kids have eaten into his spare time and he may be a bit behind on many of today's intricacies. that said, there is a reason why no one listens to the Kay show and the guy finishes 7th, behind Spanish language stations. Kay has virtually no knowledge outside of the Yankees. he has no historical knowledge and brings little to the table outside of baseball. francesa is not a national show, though it's packaged and presented that way on Fox. if you want to talk lebron and generic college stuff, listen to hack and hack in the morning. considering all francesa has on his plate, he actually has insights on not only pro but college sports. like I said, 25 years at 5.5 hours a day, well.....that's a lot of time to fill. maybe we all just want roto nerds hosting these shows?

I am mike from North Carolina or Raleigh. like I said, I am no apologist, but for a NYer out of the area, the show is a must listen and makes me feel like I am still at home with my sports. joe and evan are decent enough, somers is brutal, Kim jones worse. I am glad mad dog is gone, he seemed like an escaped sports fan from a mental ward.
