Mike and the Mad Dog show (Not Done!) (1 Viewer)

I think you guys are a little too hard on Mike - anyone in a job like that can be hit for dumb things. And I refuse to let you ruin the fond memories I have of them together doing the show when I drove all over creation and didn't have XM. It's funny, I always hated when they took callers. I enjoyed the two of them arguing and interviewing. I don't need to hear Joe Shmuck fan and his opinion - I certainly wouldn't like to hear my sports opinions. But with what you have hit him for it seems clear he needs a wingman. Shame. Some good radio 20 years ago.

Has to be more to it than that. He knows most people loved Luck.

 
He uses this tactic a lot because technically he is probably right.

It is not impossible to think that he took a few calls from people over a six month stretch saying Luck was not going to be a star. That doesn't mean that the overwhelming percentage of the public thought so. It doesn't even mean that a small minority thought so, it just meant that there were a few people who wanted to the contrarian. The problem in that some yoyo who calls a Sportsradio show can say anything and never has to live with it because he is anonymous. If fatso had an example of a scout, NFL insider or heck a sportswriter or columnist he could take them to task for it. Then again he is wrong a lot himself on record and never seems to acknowledge it

I bet there were some people who thought Lebron was going to be bad, too.

I could pull it off as long as the sensors deactivated the dump button on the control panel and just let me say my peace when I had to.

 
I swear to you this happened...

A few days ago, someone calls in saying Belicheck a genius. Francesa says nobody is a genius and starts bringing up the fact that the Pats havent won a SB since spygate. The caller replies "yeah but they made it two times since then" and Francesa responds with how many SBs have they won since spygate? They go back and forth on this several times. Ya know, the usual francesa bullying. Francesa keeps asking how many SBs have they won, the guy keeps saying yeah but they made it two times. Finally the guy relents and answers theyve won no SBs. Francesa won.

FF to today. Another caller calls in saying people say Belicheck is a Genius but they havent won since spygate. Francesa responds "meh but theyve made it two times since then"

Seriously WTF?
