Mike Hart MRI (ankle) (1 Viewer)

Colts RB Mike Hart (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. The team hasn't released any details about the severity of the injury, so it's unclear if he'll be ready for this Sunday's game against the Eagles.

IN OTHER NEWS....RB Joseph Addai (shoulder) also missed practice on Wednesday, while RB Donald Brown put in a full workout. We'll update the Indianapolis backfield situation again on Thursday.

Just curious but why wouldnt you release the results? I understand the whole Game scheming thing by the opponent but is Mike Hart really going to alter how you prepare for the colts?

i added Edge's cousin. you never know... :moneybag:
Same here. In a few leagues took a shot at zero cost in BBIB. He can play. He is not anything special but he can move the chains and catch. In his Miami days he was nicked up a lot but was pretty effective when healthy.

Anyone want to jump on the Javarris James train? with me? I'm feeling a little risky today.

Hard to say what to do this week. But I suspect that both Addai and Hart sit this weekend.

Brown didn't look that good and his hammy probably won't be 100% this week considering how pedestrian he looked.

I thought it would be Hart over Brown last week just because Hart was relatively healthy and had put up a good showing in prior weeks.

So now it's Brown, who is practicing in full but could tweak his hammy at any moment, versus James who is a healthy practice squad guy that I'm not all too keen on.

There's no telling.

If you saw his ankle injury on Monday you could tell right away it didn't look good. He hobbled off the field and did not return for the rest of the game. The fact that the Colts have not released the results of the MRI and Hart has not practiced all week do not bode well for his chances of playing Sunday.

Also, I could be wrong, but didn't he have some kind of injury to the same ankle before?

I would but I'm maxed out on Indy RBs, already have Addai/Hart and the Brown owner offered me for Blount, which I quickly declined. I kinda want out of the situation now haha.

So, is Brown a good play this weekend? What types of numbers would you expect if he's the man?
The eagles have been really tough against the run this year. I would expect somewhere around 75 total yards for him....50-60 yards rushing and a 3-4 catches for 15-25 yards. In PPR he could be an OK start.

Eagles defense has actually struggled against the run.

They have only given up 4 rushing td's to date I believe, not the exact definition of struggling ...

For the FF blinded crowd, TDs are not the measure of a player or defenses performance. Thus why, when you look at rankings, you never see them based on TDs scored or allowed, unless you are looking specifically at scoring stats. Players and defenses are typically ranked by yards per play or total yards.

Brown looked awful against Houston.
Question is was he healthy? If he was healthy, then that's a bad sign. If he wasn't and this week he's a bit better, perhaps he can rebound.

To me the question is what did the MRI reveal? You'd think if it was serious we would have heard, and if it was nothing you think they would have said he's ok.

baffling.

What are you basing that off of? The last three weeks, they have faced some of the best RBs in the league and more or less shut them down.Chris Johnson 24 carries for 66 yds 0 TDM. Turner 15 carries for 45 yds 0 TDF. Gore 18 carries for 52 yds 0 TDI would say that's pretty good.

He had what, 3 weeks off leading up to that game? If he wasn't healthy enough to look good last week I would have pretty low expectations this week.

so far still only the beat writer saying his best guess is a no go, but hart is tough, I wouldn't count him out just yet.

it's RARE when a person plays without practicing any the week before . . .

Hart is out . . .
Link?
I don't think there is one. This is his opinion based on the lack of practice and the colts beat writers speculation.

That is why I am still waiting. If he doesn't go i need to swing a trade or start Caddy in a big matchup in my big league (gulp). [mjd/moreno on bye] small rosters 5 rb max start 2]

same exact problem i'm facing. i'm having to start brown this week over cj spiller and ricky williams against the 1st place team. ugh.

And when you look at the yardage numbers they aren't struggling, especially the last three weeks. So with that in mind AND the 4 rushing tds allowed, conclusion is they are not struggling against the run...

RotoWire) Brown is likely to start Sunday against Philadelphia with both Joseph Addai and Mike Hart failing to travel to Philadelphia due to injuries, the National Football Post reports. Analysis: He'll likely share work in the backfield with Javarris James. Brown wasn't impressive last week with just nine carries for 16 yards and didn't play in the fourth quarter as the Colts wanted to limit his playing time, but he should see an expanded role this week.

:lmao:

So what kind of value does he have going forward now? Drop him in all formats for someone with a bit of upside?

I really wish that I knew what those results are.
