Mike Sims-Walker (2 Viewers)

So let me get this straight ... MSW(redraft) > Burleson, Mason, Evans, Bryant and, either of the Claytons?
It depends on your scoring format and tolerance of uncertainty given what Jacksonville looks like and the injury potential.Of course, Nate Burleson has not been the model of health either.I would put Evans ahead of MSW and Mason and Burleson on roughly the same level in most standard leagues. In a TD-emphasis league, I would put Burleson ahead of MSW and Mason and Evans on roughly the same level.'But that's just me...
you left out Bryant

ppr, yardage, bonus for long td
There's just not a huge separation among these choices, but with PPR I'd downgrade Mason and with bonus distance TDs I'd upgrade Evans.Something like Evans, Burleson and MSW ahead of the rest. Evans has the most stable situation, too, as both Burleson and Hasselbeck have been injury-prone lately.I think people underappreciate Burleson. He has 11 receiving TDs and 13 overall TDs in his past 21 games and he's seen 21 targets already this season.

I picked him up with a slew of other WW WR's in advance last week.

Couple other things worth mentioning if no one else has yet:

- Jax's defense is not what it was and the Jags could be throwing in some games this year. Not what Del Rio wants to do at all but that's just the way it's looking. That's a positive for MSW.

- No other WR's are popping up and Holt seems relegated to the role of a vet who has slowed and who serves for posssession receiving. Again, MSW should get nearly all the balls moving forward.

I'm positive, but thinking I need to see more than one part of one 4th quarter of work to trust a start out of him, even though the Houston game looks mighty tempting.

:lmao: Rolling him out as WR3 this week.
Most likely me too ... can't do any worse than my WR3 these past two weeks (fuggin Royal).
I'm in a one point per yard league. and 3 pts per catch so 5 for 50 would be 65 points.... Out of my WR3 SPOT I'm hoping for 75-100 points..... Sims Walker or Brandon Marshall?
Marshall is the #1 on his team, and Walker is the #2 on his ... I hate Orton but you might want to give Marshall 1 more game before you start somebody like Walker over him.

oF interest to nobody but me probably but I found it interesting.

In my league waivers were run last night.

of the 12, 8 teams put in a bid for Maninghamm and only 3 of us bid on Sims-Walker and I got him with the last waiver spot. The only reason I did was because Maningamm, Stuckey, Robinson, and Knox all went before him.

the moral of the story is:

A what a week for wr waiver wire pickups and

B we are ahead of the curve here at FBG
Reminds me of week 1 in '06 when Colston went for 4 49 1, Berrian went for 1 49 1, and Cotchery went for 6 65 1 and everyone was scrambling to pick them up... Cotchery and Berrian both panned out as solid WRs but the real winners were those who snagged Colston. I wonder who in this group is going to be the Colston?ETA: All 3 WRs that year followed up their strong week 1 games with every better showings in week 2.

Not so sure this is the game you want to be gambling with Marshall, though, given that he'll likely see a lot of Asomugha.

Was told this week by rival owners I would not get my pick at WR, when I said that was the spot. 11 pick in pickups and I got Sims-Walker. Mario Mania and a couple of others went before him.

I think fantasy wise he is a depth guy right now he is a 4/5 guy for me behind Wayne, Colston, Ochiconco, with L. Robinson being in the same spot as Sims-Walker. I dont see a real big break out right now but good fill in material.

5 recs, 71 yds so far. looking good fellas. :lmao:

Thankfully MJD got it for me anyway :football:

But I do love this kid. My WR3 here on out unless Bryant returns to form.

5-72 and almost got that TD, with 10 minutes left in the 3rd. Let's see... adding in the last part of last week when they finally started going to him, that's 11 catches and 179 yards in less than 4 quarters. I think those who decided to add him are going to be very happy. And those who still were too skeptical to do so, I guess all I can say is you may want to re-evaluate such a limited way of thinking. You'll miss lots of future opportunities with players if you stay that way. Go MSW. :)

I kept telling people Walker wasn't just a WW pickup for dynasty on par with Manningham and Laurent Robinson and guys like that, and for dynasty he'll belong among the top-20 before long, and that I wouldn't trade him for less. I don't know how expensive he'll be to get now, but I still recommend giving up anyone in the WR20-40 range for him. You'll still come out the winner.

He looks good and Garrard seems to trust him. He seems to be making the most of his targets and was pretty close to a TD today. I like him going forward.

more info on the oob run? i like trip rather than running out!
You called him an idiot for running out of bounds, yet you didn't even see the play??? I guess I should redefine my definition of an idiot.
you came in here, saw the play, and didn't write anything about MSW? i should redefine my definition of entropy.
Yes. Yes you should.I don't think that word means what you think it means.

C'mon guys. This is a HAPPY thread! :pickle:

Besides, everybody knows what entrophy is. It's a little gold plated statue you win for something, but you can't keep it outdoors.

The more I watch, the more I'm convinced that MSW ain't goin' away for fantasy purposes. He's got the talent, Garrard loves him and all of his rivals for targets are either rookies or old as dirt.I didn't land him on any of my teams and I'm sure I'll regret that.

Sure would've been nice to get that TD instead of having him go out at the 1 but two starts and two strong games for Sims-Walker. He's looking real real good.

Fun to extrapolate the two games for a season: 96-1496-8.I know, I know... but it's still fun to see those big numbers.

Like the guy, but didn't grab in a contract league because I'm worried about injuries. I hope he keeps this going and stay healthy because he's a nice talent.

Congrats on Skywalker. I hope he can stay healthy.Your use of entrophy is closer to making sense than the guy incorrectly using the word entropy and calling ppl idiots.

Here: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/entropy?jss=1

And here: http://www.draaisma.net/physics_cosmology/...is_entropy.html

And to be honest... you don't always make sense. :P And sometimes when you do.. I think I should seek professional help. ;)

For those complaining, he was running an out route. If his route had been a yard or two deeper, he likely wouldn't have caught the pass. He made a great play to snag it and keep himself in bound while running at speed.

This is correct.
MSW had to make a choice on that play. Make the catch and make sure he got his feet in, or try and make the catch and go for the cone risking missing the catch and getting his feet in bound. It was bang/bang with his feet as it was, trying for cone could have easily negated the catch as all of his momentum was going parallel to the goal line. A more polished WR(Fitz, Wayne, Moss) likely makes that play for the TD and MSW might make it when he has more game experience. But for right now I think he make the correct choice of making sure the catch was made.

I jumped on board.I dropped Cadillac Williams to get him halfway through Sundays game.woulda done it sooner, but I had some injury issues at RB, and the guy I was playing this week did too. I didnt wanna give him a waiver wire pickup that could be used against me. Turned out I had nothing to worry about, but Caddy was looking pretty good early in the year.either way, it is done, and he will be a bye week fill-in for me this next week.

I've got MSW too, but this was a good call.
Not sure what your definitions of a WR1 are...Are your talking WR1 in a team or in the league?Holt: 12/169/06'0/190#Walker: 12/187/16'2/208#And that's with Holt's week 1 advantage.

I just snatched him and gave Chris Henry the heave-ho. You would think I'd be able to cobble together a good WR corp with Calvin, Royal, Roy Williams, Dev Henderson and Henry, but it hasn't been in the cards so far for me. :lmao:

Pushing T.O. to the bench for week 4! Go MSW!!!

Nobody cares, but I never thought I'd have MSW in the starting lineup by week 4 with Royal, T.O., Schilenz, L.Moore & James Jones on the bench.

I hope not either. I snagged him late last week and used him since Welker was hurt and got the win because of him. Combined with Megatron and Wayne I may have found my WR3 replacement. And when Welker comes back... :excited:

He has 19 targets the last two weeks. Holt has had 18. Going forward, do you expect the even split to continue?
