Forget all the terrible, illegal, and atrocious things Vick has done. Fact is, he was my favorite player to watch in the NFL. You never knew when he was going to turn a sack into a 30 yard scamper, similar to when I used to watch Barry Sanders. He was and still is the most exciting player to ever take the field, and I am going to miss watching him play on Sundays. I can't believe it all ended this way and so abruptly...

Yeah, Barry was a lot more fun to watch. I was crushed when he retired. Thanksgiving football has never been the same since, no matter how early NFLN starts advertising the game.

good athlete..but watching him have mental breakdowns and problems reading defenses or even knowing where his own guys were on the field, was something like watching Eddie Van Halen giving up the guitar to take on a bodybuilding career..Vick knew how to do one thing,and one thing only:run.thats it.period.probably would have been a great RB, a Bo Jackson type...

Dwight Gooden is an excellent comparison. Unbelievable talent that never really reached its full potential, and then marred by some tragic decisions. Yet, people still support him because of the great things he did accomplish while he was on the field.

Vick, by contrast, is the bad seed, falling not too far from the tree that dropped brotherly seed that was equally ill-equipped to navigate simple decisions or integrate the most rudimentary ethical platform from which one draws when making difficult decisions.

And thats the DALLAS COWBOYS, why? If ROMO doesnt get it done, and its alot of pressure on him now says (contract/expectations) i can see JJ bringing him in for one to MAKE MONEY OFF OF HIM, and 2 to have a very unpredictable offense. VICK TO and MCFADDEN (lol) MBIII would be interesting.

No way JJ does this. I'll turn in my season tickets (and I wouldn't be the only one) if that happened. He'd be turning off a good chunk of the fan base, and anyone who would be supporting Vick and entering into the fan base...mmm, I don't think they're the kind of supporting fans Jerry's looking for.

His ability to win football games is not overrated. The guy was a great athlete. Never forget 27-7 in Lambeau.

Somebody remind me of his stats for that game. They were pretty abysmal IIRC. It was the ATL defense getting alot of turnovers that won that game. Yes he was the starting QB going into Lambeau and winning but as for his contribution to the win he was way down on the list.13/25 117 yds passing, 64 yds rushing 1 TD 78.3 rating5 GB turnovers and no Green, Driver or Glenn for the second half.

and my oversight.Just speaking as a human being--not a football fan--I'm much happier seeing him go behind bars than I would be seeing him run with the football again. I've seen him run before. Been there, done that. Don't want to see any more, especially from him.
