This don't really have a lot to with anything immediate, but reading some of the stuff on possible Brandon Marshall suspension got me thinking about this:

Everyone seems to think that Mike Vick will do his time in prison, be released and then be eligible to (possibly) return to the NFL. Given how Goodell has suspended players in the past for doing jail time in the offseason or besmirching the integrity of the league, isn't it highly likely that Vick would face a BIG suspension even after getting out of jail?

Tank Johnson got 8 or 10 games for doing jail time in the offseason for probation violations (IIRC). Based on that scale, could Vick face a multi-year suspension from the league?

Vick may very well be suspended for life...

He's already been suspended indefinitely. He would have to seek reinstatement, do whatever time/penance Goodell sees fit, and stay clean. I think he remains out for at least one full season after his release. By that time, the demand for his services could be pretty low.
