Vick isn't a saint, hell he probably does use marijuana recreationally sometimes, but I would venture to say that most posters on this board have as well at some time in their life OR, or if you're a saint, you probably have a friend or two that smokes.

The poll doesn't seem to contemplate a departure from the game (whether due to a suspension, conviction and incarceration, or "leave of absence") that is more than a year long, before returning. I think Vick is going to get convicted, likely in the first half of 2008, and that he'll see jail time of at least a couple of years. I'm not sure at this point whether he'll get another look whenever he gets out.

I would agree but for the fact that this is in Federal court with a "hangin' judge" against a U.S. Attorney. I think this may be one of the rare instances when folks are underestimating how much legal peril a celebrity athlete is in.

1. Just because you go to Duke doesn't mean you're rich/white or on your way to being upper middle class rich. That's ridiculous. I know plenty of Duke grads who aren't rich, just as I know plenty of ASU grads who are. And plenty of college dropouts who are.2. "Innocent" and "Not Guilty" are two very, very different things. When someone is "Not Guilty" in a criminal court and found "liable" in a civil court, that means, more probably than not, he is a killer but the evidence was imperfect.
