Of course. You're a big fan.Voted for a year, and voted for come back and be fine.
5 people voted for no suspension. Guess I'm not his biggest fan.Of course. You're a big fan.Voted for a year, and voted for come back and be fine.
Of course you think that, you're a Vick hater.Fla\/\/ed...Where's the "He will take an indefinite leave-of-absence" option? He'll be convicted, and that will spell the end of his NFL career.
With good reason.Of course you think that, you're a Vick hater.Fla\/\/ed...Where's the "He will take an indefinite leave-of-absence" option? He'll be convicted, and that will spell the end of his NFL career.
I'm all for justice, and I haven't convicted him, but in what world is a Federal Indictment the same as one woman's allegation?BTW - Were the Duke players wealthy, celebrities, or black? Also, you forgot to add "OJ is a killer"America loves to tear celebrities down, especially the wealthy and especially wealthy African-American men.If you think Vick is guilty you also probably thought:Kobe is a rapist. The Duke lacrosse team ran a train on that stripper and raped and assaulted her too...and to add a relevant, personal anecdote: in college I was anonymously accused/reported to the police for sexually assualt, so I must be a misogynist criminal too....because people are never wrongly accused, and everyone wants to have a talking point and tear down other people to make them feel as insecure and small as the haters. People can trump up charges pretty easily, and once someone's reptuation is smeared by false charges and they are exonerated, nobody treats them as if nothing happened. But wait! Turns out Kobe didn't rape that white girl--in fact she slept with about 3 men in that 24-48 hour period. The Duke players? Their season was cancelled, their coach was fired, people lost jobs, scholarships, LIVES WERE DESTROYED. It was all false accusations, made up bs, but oops sorry, if we say "my bad" its all better. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton and every sports talk radio rr-tard in America jumps on the band wagon. Oh and in my case, allegedly I went home with a girl after a party and allegedly did criminal acts to her, but thats funny because I left the party with my hairy, male roommate and we went to a concert after the party with dozens of witnesses but that doesn't stop a detective from showing up at your door to ask questions. Stop and think. Stop cannibalizing your sports heroes.Give the man his day in court. As a Falcons fan and a (sometimes) proud member of this great democracy, I hope that justice prevails--not White justice or Black justice, simply justice-- and I think he is innocent until proven otherwise. Vick donates his time and money to many good causes. Oh but he's a bad guy because he didnt show up to talk with Congress about one of his philanthropic passions--because he was down in Florida the day before at Warrick Dunn's charity event and he had problems getting a flight to DC. Vick isn't a saint, hell he probably does use marijuana recreationally sometimes, but I would venture to say that most posters on this board have as well at some time in their life OR, or if you're a saint, you probably have a friend or two that smokes.Don't be an idiot. Just because there's a mob mentality to convict in America doesn't make it right or just. When the crap hits the fan in your life, and you're presumptuously accused of something or maybe in the wrong place at the wrong time, do you have true friends or is everyone go to assume you are guilty?Peace,Ben

I would agree but for the fact that this is in Federal court with a "hangin' judge" against a U.S. Attorney. I think this may be one of the rare instances when folks are underestimating how much legal peril a celebrity athlete is in.Charges significantly reduced against Vick due to problems with testimony of "unnamed witnesses". Pleads guilty to something relatively minor. Suspended 4-8 games. Comes back to Falcons. After that it's hard to guess whether the Falcons trade him, cut him, or keep him. His career continues.Since we're all guessing, that's my guess.
Wolf! WOLF!Why doesn't anyone take me seriously anymore? I said WOLF!!!America loves to tear celebrities down, especially the wealthy and especially wealthy African-American men.
Does children serivces or in fact your children know about this?Duke lacrosse kids are rich/white or on the way to becoming in the upper middle class to rich. Duke is a top 10 university/college.
OJ was accused of murder, evidence was highly circumstantial was found innocent-- civil court found otherwise. Think what you will. He could babysit my kids.

Good job there buddy. Next time you dogpile someone and claim that they were owned, try and put more than one sentence together-- that is if you are capable?
When I come to FBG forums, I don't expect a well-reasoned, impartial discussion of Michael Vick's situation, but I was hoping for slightly more class than the mouth-breathers that call in to sports talk radio.
Close but not quite. Although we are 50 years removed from MLK and the civil rights movement, America is still another 2-3 generations away from curing itself of racial prejudices and thinking. If you have any African-American / black friends, especially in the South, you would know that the point I am making is still backed by a cold, sad reality. There's still a few sun-down towns in our country.Wolf! WOLF!Why doesn't anyone take me seriously anymore? Does the fact that I AM black help me at all here? And stop with the PC "African-American" crap please. I've never even been to Africa. Do whites prefer "European-American"? No? Why is that? Are blacks native to other continents besides Africa? Like maybe Australia or Asia?Close but not quite. How weren't you owned? A federal indictment is a whole lot different than an allegation from one woman.Duke lacrosse kids are rich/white or on the way to becoming in the upper middle class to rich. quantity <> quality. just because you typed out 6 pages doesn't mean it was any good. oz is right. this is not anywhere near the same.dogpile? no pun, right?Duke lacrosse kids are rich/white or on the way to becoming in the upper middle class to rich. Duke is a top 10 university/college.

What does this have to do with Vick killing dogs?Close but not quite. 1. Just because you go to Duke doesn't mean you're rich/white or on your way to being upper middle class rich. That's ridiculous. I know plenty of Duke grads who aren't rich, just as I know plenty of ASU grads who are. And plenty of college dropouts who are.2. "Innocent" and "Not Guilty" are two very, very different things. If you'd let OJ babysit your kids I'm extremely concerned for you. Simply the attempted release of "If I Did It" would be enough to keep him away from mine.Duke lacrosse kids are rich/white or on the way to becoming in the upper middle class to rich. If you're going to insult the group, at least have your facts and argument straight. Why do you hate your kids? When someone is "Not Guilty" in a criminal court and found "liable" in a civil court, that means, more probably than not, he is a killer but the evidence was imperfect. I know where Duke is ranked, did you know any of the players names before the story broke? I didn't care to "own" you, but I do appreciate accuracy.Duke lacrosse kids are rich/white or on the way to becoming in the upper middle class to rich.
