Last 2 games:

vs Houston: 6 targets; 5 catches; 46 yards

vs Pitt: 9 targets; 6 catches; 107 yards

Small sample size but I am keeping a close eye on him. Could be the Jax WR to have in dynasty leagues by the time this year is done.

What do Jax homers feel? Is he finally gonna break out or just a fluke couple of weeks?

Also, check out some of his upcoming schedule (some easy pass Ds):

Week 8: Cleveland

Week 9: Cincy

Week 10: Detroit

Week 12: Minny

week 13: Houston

Jax homers or anyone else want to chime in on why Reggie Williams is so bad? He was strong in the red zone last year, is he being used differently this year?

No. Matt Jones is the WR to have. He's like top 15-20 in targets right now. The receptions will eventually come.
Matt Jones couldn't catch the clap in a Mexican brothel.
He's caught about 60% of this targets this year and 77% of this receptions have gone for first downs or TD's. Don't see the problem with that.
60% is better than it has seemed. I'm not sure that the first down/TD percentage speaks to his hands though. Just that Garrard goes to him in those situations. Which is good, but I think the point is that he doesn't have a hold on the WR1 position in JAX very tightly and Walker would be the guy to have in Dynasty, IMO. Maybe we're talking redraft?

Not sure anyone has a hold on the Jax WR spot. It's really a terrible situation for WR's. A running team with QB who runs to much and lacks accuracy and they rotate their WR's. For all the talk of Matt Jones being the new #1 WR he only plays on first down when the Jags go to 3 WR's. I do think Matt Jones has done a solid job considering all of that but his targets have been dropping radically the last few weeks with Walker picking up the slack. In dynasty no doubt Walker is the guy to have. This season I have no idea but don't love anyone. In every league I'm in I have either Porter or Jones so I'd love to be wrong but I'm thinking about just cutting them both and being done with the Jax WR situation this year.

I'm close to cutting Porter. Tired of him.

Walker has sprain

The MRI results for Mike Walker have come in and their is good news. Walker told the Orlando Sentinel that the MRI showed just a sprain. "I'm shooting for Sunday, hopefully it'll get ready over the next couple of days."

Our View: This is good news for the Jaguars and for the second year receiver. Walker might emerge as one of the good to receivers on the Jaguars roster.

He is playing against his buddy B Marshall, so he wants to be ready and have a nice game this weekend

Even though Del Rio expects him to play this week, he referred to his WR's as a "committee" without Matt Jones there. I don't expect any other JAX WR to come up big for long term value. Mike Walker should be a streaky bye week filler player for you if you own him. He is probably worth a roster spot but I wouldn't expect much.

I'd say he's definitely worth a flier. There don't seem to be many waiver gems this week, and Matt Jones suspension is still up in the air.
