Mike Wallace (1 Viewer)

When I watch him play he really reminds me of Desean Jackson. I'm not saying he's on that level just yet, but he's got the same game breaking speed to beat anyone deep and he seems to be doing it regularly now. Add to that, the Steelers are using him more and more on short and intermediate routes, so he's becoming a complete receiver.

I can see him beating Asomugha deep once.

Yeah agree with Capt -

Pitt moves Wallace all over the formation and combined with his speed I doubt Asomugha will be the only guy on him. Ward is back but dinged up and Big Ben loves to throw the rock -

Im rollin him out this week, can't sit such a hot Wr ...

Good Luck !

Asomugha isn't healthy. So Wallace is a must-start, unless you're stacked at WR and have better choices. But I wouldn't sit him out of fear of the Oakland secondary alone.

He's been unbenchable but I'm thinking about doing just that in favor of Fitz, Holmes, and Manningham this week.

It's been Calvin, Nicks and Wallace for me for awhile now. I don't think I'd start Fitz over him. Seriously considering giving up McCoy and Whitten for Gates and using Wallace as my Flex.

It all depends on what your teams roster is looking like. Say you drafted Andre/Roddy/Nicks/Wallace, he isn't a "must start" for your team, but if you drafted Moss/Steve Smith/Crabtree/Wallace, then he is a must start. With the way he is playing right now though, there are only a few players who are clearly better options than him at the moment matchups aside.

I have a tough choice too. I have Calvin, G Jennings, Wallace and Dez Bryant. They have all been hot right now, except Jennings but be has Minny D to exploit. I'm thinking of sitting Wallace due to matchup. Also Calvin is dinged. Anyone know how hurt he is and if he could be a liability?

:bag: I agree with the above. Wallace is like a top 15 option IMO (a high end WR2). He's definitely a better bet for points than guys like Crabtree, Manningham, etc., especially in non-PPR leagues. In non-PPR, I think you have maybe 12 guys you'd start over him unless you like to chase name recognition over likelihood of production.

I think Wallace owners need to see if Nnamdi is active Sunday Morning. If he is, then consider other options. If out, then start him. I understand the field condition is nasty, and I don't know if that affects speed receivers like Wallace or not. But it's something to take into account.

Field should be just fine this week.

Well, I am just going by what Big Ben himself said about the field. I trust that you may have some more updated info as you are a local.

Oh, he's right. That field IS terrible. Nnamdi and any other Raiders who have had any ankle, hamstring, or knee issues should seriously consider sitting this one out. Playing in Pittsburgh on Sunday would seriously risk the remainder of their season.

I have no info, but I do know if he plays, he is going to be coming back from a high ankle sprain having to defend one of the fastest guys in the NFL. I am putting Wallace into my line-up today for sure.

Anyone with an update on Nnamdi Asoumgardafdkfjlaksjdflksjdaflkjdsklfjaslfdjasfd?

per Jason LaCanfora of NFL Network:

Still waiting for full inactives here but I'm told Nnamdi Asomugh is not playing
